Fairview At It Again.....................

Featured Replies

I've been told a really good basketball player from Huntington has enrolled at Ashland. If Ashland is the one that reported Fairview, then I'm sure Ashland will be filing a report on this kid's transfer to the KHSAA as well.

Wiggins????

No, not Wiggins. Now that would be something.

It all boils down to this. Fairview is going to keep doing this as long as they can and why shouldn't they, even though it bugs the crap out of me, the KHSAA says it's legit. Raceland has to develop a way to stop these guys, basically they need to learn how to tackle again, that needs to happen in all games. I'll be honest, my mind may be failing me, but I believe the last really good tackling team at Raceland was during Vanderhoof's last season, maybe I'm wrong.

Not true. Has to be a physical address.

So they say.

I've seen it way too many times, especially in rural areas.

Shoot, the addresses used by the athletes at Fairview are owned by the superintendent of the school system.

How big is Fairview ? I remember NCC went up to play Fairview in the class A playoffsa few years ago and NCC wiped them off the map , when they ( Fairview were supposed to dominate .

For those of you that question that the KHSAA has looked the other way:

There is a loophole in the transfer rule. The KHSAA will tell you that it doesn't' exist, but I've seen it used several times. If you transfer from out of state, the KHSAA will rule you eligible. Fairview knows that, that is why they are getting player from West Virginia. We have had players transfer from our school to an Ohio school for one week then transfer back to an area Kentucky school, they list the Ohio school as their previous school and all is good to go and they have all been ruled eligible.

Another fact that the KHSAA won't admit, if the transferring school does not complain about the transfer, the player will be ruled eligible. I don't know of a single player that has been rule ineligible when the transferring school didn't complain. We have athletes transfer from Raceland to other area schools, and Raceland has never fought a transfer, all have been able to player without losing a year of eligibility. With players coming from out of state, and not competing against the transferring school, the transferring school will more then likely not complain.

Shoot, the addresses used by the athletes at Fairview are owned by the superintendent of the school system.

And this I can 100% confirm and prove.

I was told by a local school official that they gave the KHSAA absolute proof that last years transferring players did not move and the KHSAA said it was heresay.
