Congrats to the 3 Fort Thomas residents for making the list.

Congrats to all of the HHS players who made the list. All are great kids and VERY hard workers. Not sure what you are trying to say (actually I am), but you are incorrect. Actually 4 are Ft. Thomas residents (True, Hope, Houliston, Wrobleski). All play football for Highlands High School. One is a Highland Heights resident who happens to live closer to HHS than the other public schools in the area and the other is a Campbell County resident, both (non-Ft. Thomas residents) of whom have attended the Ft. Thomas Schools for at least, going on, 4 years now...Obviously, all will be Juniors this coming season and look to make a signficant contribution to this years team.

Go Birds!!

Congrats to the 3 Fort Thomas residents for making the list.

This has been beat to death on this site. Let's be clear..........

One does NOT have to live in Ft. Thomas to legally attend HHS. They are an independent school district and can accept tuition paying students from outside of their boundaries. It is what it is.

Wow! All I did was congratulate the 3 kids that grew up in the 41075 area code. I think all 6 of them played in the Fort Thomas youth football league. And I also believe that they are getting a great education and will have the best chance at playing at the next level by going to Highlands versus what would have been their hometown schools. I also think the Greene boy was missed off this list?

My bad, your original post didn't say anything about "growing up" in the Fort. It said residents. Took on a new meaning for me. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

Not picking on you, I'm sure you didn't make the rules but there are actually kids who live in Ft. Thomas who are forced to attend Campbell County.

Actually only 3 of the 6 played in the FTJRFL. Nick True played for the Ft. Mitchell Spartans and Zach Harris and Tyler Schweitzer played with the CC Red Devils. But that really has nothing to do with the fact that these 6 players have been listed. JMO

200 posts in you do not get a pass on a comment that you knew would strike at the very sensitive underbelly that is the residency issue.

So to be clear, all of the players on HHS roster did not grow up in The Fort. Some have moved there prior to high school, a couple are among the many tuition students that the district has drawn from outside it's defined boundary. The 41075 zip code does not define the limits of the city nor that of the school district. If every student who resides in the 41075 zip code Or the city's defined boundary, attended HHS they would be even more successfull year in and year out than they have been in the past.

Jalen Beal proceeded my son on the BC Bandits. He was a great runner in the most prolific offense I have ever seen in youth football. Those teams, coached by Bill Mateola (not sure of sp) ran a hurry up offense in pee wee. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could deal with it at that level.

Bold statement....

Congrats to the 3 Fort Thomas residents for making the list.

And the other 3 don't get a "Congrats" ?

I am just wondering why you congratulate one set of 3 and not the others?

Nick True played 2 years in FTJFL

Jayen Hayes played in both newport firefighters and FTJFL not on the list
