July 22, 201214 yr Gotta give him credit. Valdez had 2 hits, an RBI and scored the 2nd run. Cairo on the other hand wasn't very good defensively at 1st. For what sitting Cozart when he looks like he is starting to swing the bat? Who knows what this does to a young player that has been struggling and finally has a couple of good games but gets rewarded with another day off. Imo Cairo is giving this team nothing.

July 22, 201214 yr Great series and home stand by the Reds. I never dreamed they would have the week they did without Votto. Several good pitching performances, good relief and a few clutch hits. Let's just hope that the offense can come alive on the road as the Pirates don't seem to be going away anytime soon.

You should know that I disagree with those compliaining about Dusty. However, Cozart had no reason to be out of the lineup today when he had Thursday off and they have another off day next Thursday. Luckily Valdez had a good game.

July 22, 201214 yr Did you watch the game? Cairo's catch (not), was an error. Bruce's routine fly ball that hit his glove in fair ground, was an error. Getting picked off 2nd base with 2 on and 2 out, priceless. I did watch the game, very entertaining to say the least. I guess a win is a win.:popcorn:

July 22, 201214 yr It's hard to believe that I haven't been to a game yet this season. I'm saving them up for the Pirates in a couple of weeks and will be going to two of them.
