They're tight.

I wasn't sure what he said so I wasn't sure.

Chapman with 15 pitches and probably threw 5 pitches that would've been called strikes...and struck out the side. Straight Gas Homey

If you think about it, the Reds are in first and every offensive player except Votto, and perhaps Bruce, has underperformed. If they can just get a couple of those other guys going better, they will be very tough to beat in this division.

Wasn't one of the outs a dribbler that went about 1 inch in front of the plate. Meso tagged the batter?

Rolen basically said his last few weeks of hitting were like looking at Tito's head, just didn't look right. hahaha

If he keeps hitting, no. The risk is this hit will carry him for about 3 weeks of o-fers.

I agree he had a nice game but his first hit was a luck job seeing eye single which happens I know, fine...But he has no pop left and cant catch up to most Fastballs...I can live with him getting a situational start per series against a pitcher that isnt a power pitcher but more of a soft tossing control pitcher...Tonight didnt really do anything to lead me to believe he will be anything of his former self...He has had chances and everyone knows by now he cant hit for any extended stretches...

Not sure on the out, but you're right that it was 8 of 9. Just checked the box scores on ESPN. Still, 8 out of 9 outs being a K is crazy.

8 strikeouts. The only ball in play traveled 1 inch. Stilll pretty darn good.

Strike this. Holliday had a single Friday night.

I agree. The best we can expect out of Rolen based on what he is showing at the plate is another Hanigan - good average, little pop, contact hitter and solid in the clutch.

@missenquier

18 of Chapman’s last 21 outs have come via the strikeout. #RedsTweetUp

I always thought Homer would be good if he could figure it out mentally.

Holliday had a broken bat single. That shouldn't count.
