Bracken's Coach Persinger Resigns

I can't see them not playing and maybe a player or two that left the team will be back?

As long as they come back with positive attitudes, that sounds great! Attitudes are contagious---positive or negative!

Look at the turnover rate for football coaches at BC since the program began. I'm not surpirsed the FB coach left as that's been the trend for years--way before Hunter took over as AD. I personally like the guy....I'm not a coach, but am familiar with the system.

Good point.

Good luck Coach. Great guy and superb coach!

I hope they can play next year, but from what I've heard there are some girls who may not play next year that did play this year.
Have heard the same thing about several not coming back, starters too.

I don't know anyone would "like" the comment about Bracken's girls not playing.

But, as I said earlier...attitudes are contagious...especially with teenage girls. I think it's hard for these girls going from basketball straight to softball with little break. JMO Hopefully, after a summer's rest they will come back with a committed winning attitude. Time will tell I guess.

And, how many games did you come to this season?

Chad had health scare last year. I think he wanted to cut down and stick with basketball. Wish Chadwell he did a great job there and was a good guy

Fat fingered "like" reading it on my phone. No one likes to hear when girls don't come back to play a game they enjoy!

I don't think Bracken will ever find a coach as dedicated as coach P was, will be very hard to fill his shoes. As far as attitudes go, alot of it starts at home.

You said it! As far as dedication to a team, a sport, you won't find a coach as committed as Coach Persinger. The new coach is walking into a gold mine of talent, but as everyone has said, attitudes can cause a lot of problems. I agree with All Blue 100%, attitudes start at home!

I agree, but high school sports is year round. There is no break for teenage girls or boys to be teenagers. The coaches says you have to play to get better, but when a person gets burned out they stop, not only teenage but grown ups to.

IMO If you love playing a particular sport(s), you NEVER get burned out. Grown-ups, we just get too old.

This is one of your better posts ever Lawnboy. I totally agree.
