Pile Driver
Joey Chestnut is the defending champ with 62 hotdogs and buns in a 10 minute time limit. Kobayashi is not scheduled to compete as he is still in a dispute with Major League Eating. WHO YOU GOT? On a side note, I personally am not fond of Nathan dogs. Give me Kahn's! Jumper_Dad
Not a fan of Nathans dogs either. The contest is like a train wreck or an episode of Jerry Springer, once you see it, it is hard to look away.
Flotsam
Gotta go with Joey Chestnut. I saw where kickoff has been pushed back from the traditional high noon, to 3:00 pm to accommodate ESPN's Wimbeldon coverage. Last year they had 40,000 live spectators and two million TV viewers. The Empire Strikes Back. 4th of July, Independence Day, New York City, Coney Island, high noon, working class Americans eating hot dogs. ESPN bumps its live coverage to accommodate a British aristocratic tennis event where rich people play on grass. The Brooklyn rabble should start dumping mustard into New York Harbor. sweet16
Don't know how they can eat that many in such a short time. I bet they don't eat hot dogs except during eating contests.
