Word around NKY has it that Yeagle....

Featured Replies

Would it tarnish Yeagle's reputation a bit, if he did step in as a head coach at an NKY 4A school, and still not get over the Louisville hump?

I don't think it's a question of being able to get over the Louisville hump, I just think it's a question of when. Even if it wasn't right away, when kids see what he can do, tons of talent will come rolling into Ryle, and more kids will sign up to play

I think it would be a better fit at Conner.Stellman was contemplating retirement,

let Yeagle come in for a year or two as a coordinater. That would make for a smoother

transition.Plus Conner has only ever hired 2 varsity coaches from outside the schools

current coaching staff,C.Shannon girls basketball coach until this season and Bob Lewis

the only coach to lead them to a state championship.

I wouldn't be surprised by that, there was a little talk of it happening. Matter of fact, I heard he was going there before it was announced that he would go to Ryle and before Tom decided not to retire.

Since the Boone Co school district is planning to build another HS with the probable result that Ryle would drop to 3A, maybe we should be discussing if Warner/Yeagle will be able to get it done in 3A.

Good point as they will suredly drop in the next few years down to 3A.

I'm hearing that all 4 schools will be 4A in size by the time the doors on the new school open...

This is the truth--but a new school is still a few years away (just from what I hear).

Same here...

I guess if you stop and add the numbers it makes sense. Each school has 1600+ now. That's 4800 students. Divied by 4 and it's 1200+ per school if it were to open today.

MAybe, or just confirm in some peoples eyes that we just don't have the talent to compete with Louisville. ;)

Now you know that I would never say that being that you are our best competition..
