"Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people, well I got the pistols so I'll keep the pesos, yeah and hat seems fair"

The dearly departed (figuratively, not literally) Ram brothers would love you for this one.

I can't remember the name of the band...but I remember this song got radio play around '96/'97 maybe. I know the band did the King Of The Hill theme song too...I just can't come up with their name.

"I Don't Like Mondays"-Boomtown Rats

Great tune, BTW.

You are correct. The band is "The Refreshments".

"The pump don't work cause the vandals took the handles."
Subterranean Homesick Blues - Bob Dylan. Great tune.

"Aww Naww" by the Nappy Roots. Bunch of Paducah fellas.

"I Don't Like Mondays"-Boomtown Rats

Lead singer of the Boomtown Rats was Bob Geldof who was the organizer of the 1985 charity event Live Aid to help with Ethiopian starvation. He played the song at the event. Phil Collins performed at both Wembly and Philly the same day thanks to a ride on the Concorde.

You sure about that?

"And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenburg County, down by the Green River, where Paradise lay."

Johnny Prine from Chi-Town, the ex-mailman!

"If you ever get south of Cincinnati down where the dogwood trees grow

If you ever get south of the Ohio River to the home you left so long ago ..."

"Old Charlie stole the handle, and the train, it won't stop going, no way to slow down"

Dwight Yoakam. One of Kentucky's proudest musicians, if you ask me. I think that song's called "South of Cincinnati", right?
