When you win the election, the votes of more than 50% of your fellow citizens, more votes than any presidential candidate in the history of the US, respect is earned.

I will always respect the office of the POTUS, so President Obama has my respect. Barrack Obama the man has to earn it.

Seeing how President Obama has been treated has definitely shown me how not to act when Mitt Romney wins.

Well, I used 'decent' instead of 'good' or even 'justified'. I had no idea who this guy was or who 'Daily Caller' was. Seems it is a Tucker Carlson media function that just started in 2010. Looking at it from that background I think it was a stunt to get more eyeballs on what is a very marginal 'news' outlet. His credentials at the WH are probably on probation after Friday - and should be.

Yep. I think some of these stories are a little misleading without mentioning that this guy works for a partisan rag. And as far as partisan outlets go (and some of them are good), Tucker Carlson's is a sewer.

I'll say you're more "fair" than most on here. You do seem to be left leaning to me, but not extreme by any stretch. You didn't seen to have Bush's back like you do Obama in this forum. :lol: Bush took a lot of hits in this forum over the years and they weren't all deserved. People, for the most part, seemed to be fine with the disrespect he received compared to how quickly people cry foul where Obama is concerned. I'm cool with that, just something I've noticed over the years.

As you are not fully grasping where I am politically you are not fully remembering where I am/was on the issue of disrespect to President Bush. I'm the most consistent when it comes to the issue in general plus I've stated NUMEROUS times that I like President Bush as a man and I voted for him so I have no reason to be inconsistent on my overall belief regarding respect when it comes to President Bush.
