You do not have to like him, vote for him, or respect his views. You DO have to respect the office and that he is the leader of the country and act accordingly unlike the ******* who interrupted him.

What I'm telling you is I don't recall you calling out people for saying Bush was unintelligent or the numerous insults that were directed toward Bush when he was in office. To be fair, Reagan wasn't exactly a friend of gay folks with his ignoring the AIDS epidemic as long as he did. As though it would just go away if he didn't comment on it.

If that's directed toward me, I'm not saying I condone the behavior. But I definitely understand, given how gay folks got crapped on by Reagan. By the same token, I also understand exactly why black folks were conspicuously absent at his love-fest of a funeral, and laughed when true-believers were puzzled by black folks' animosity toward him.

All actions can be rationalized is the point. So the resprect for the office is just a different form of censorship of free speech. At last the current holder of the office had a chance to defend himself - unlike President Reagen. Those in these pictures were cowards.
