We need to focus on the task at hand, which is to get in the best condition we can right now and not let anything or anyone stand in our way.

Work hard at getting better each practice.

Keep focused on the games ahead, play hard, train hard, then maybe the AD will help the program and not just basketball.

I think the goals set forth so far are good, and most important realistic. I think in the past there have been some unrealistic expectations put on the program. It is important for the kids to have realistic goals. Is McCreary going to the Championship game this season; NO. Can they get in shape play hard and compete every Friday; YES.

Some of the goals should be put on the coaches too. I think they need to concentrate on getting the numbers up. It is extremely tough to compete with the low numbers that they have had in the past. Once you start meeting some of the lower level goals you can set higher goals. I understand this seems like starting from square one but sometimes you just have to see that what has been being done has not worked and try something else. You cannot do the same thing over and over and expect different results.

McCreary has had some fine young kids at the elementary level and middle school level they just seem to get lost in the transition to high school.

Most of all to get support and an investment from the administration stop complaining about and just bypass it and move forward. Then (and I think only then) will you get the support that you need. I know that in the past there have be issues with equipment and being able to get the latest and best equipment for the kids, and to a certain extent that is largely a admin issue but with hard work you can even work around that.

In any event, I wish the best for MC.

Has Tyson Williams left the program and enrolled at Somerset? If so that is a huge loss for the Raiders.

If this is the case I feel like this will be a reoccurring theme as our best athletes will leave for neighboring counties or schools. Good players these days will move and not deal with the politics that is McCreary County......

Heard that on another site as well. Not good for McCreary.

Tyson Willams has moved to Somerset. His family moved June 1st and he enrolled in School June 13th. Guess his mother decided the 70 mile drive to work each day was not worth it.

Word is that Robert "B" Jones will be contesting this move as a recruiting effort by Somerset? Anyone hear this?

With a legitimate change of address to make his Mom's commute easier what good would it do him?

When folks tell kids a bunch a stuff theyll do for them if they come to their school, it's recruiting. When the kids themselves tell others what they were told ,moves become questionable. Who just randomly moves on their own their SR year? Not saying it would never happen if the mom just got a new job but I can see how some might raise their eyebrows.

Looks like a good Law Suit by Somerset if accused of something they did not do!!!!

I have no idea about this situation and had never heard of this kid before seeing his name on another site. As far as transefering in your senior year, I would agree in most situations kids would not want to do that. In this case Somerset has won around 35 games the last three years and has made at least the state semi finals each year. McCreary hasn't had a lot of success the last several years. So if your mom is moving and you have a chance to play in the playoffs and advance....then this isn't that hard a decision to make after all.
