June 13, 201214 yr Crazy stat on Mike & Mike this morning....In OKC playoff games that Russell Westbrook takes as many, or more, shots as KD the Thunder are 29-6. Kinda puts to rest all that "Westbrook can't have more shots than Durant" talk, no? All that stat says to me is there are way too many games where Westbrook throws up more shots than the best scorer in the game today. Don't get me wrong, Westbrook is one of the most talented NBA players in his own right. Just don't shoot the ball more times than KD on a regular basis. I see that they do win a lot when he does jack up his shots, but IMO they win in spite of it. Out of curiosity, did they say what the Thunder's playoff record is when KD shoots the most?

I do think it displays just how efficient of a scorer that Durant is. Durant is 80+% from the FT line and that always helps out scoring the ball. I'm always shocked when Durant misses a shot. Seems like he always makes his shots.

They have lost a total of 3 games in the playoffs thus far. In 2 of those 3 Westbrook took the most shots.

June 13, 201214 yr I need proof he is a better team player. Lebron averages more assists. I need proof Durant is better in the clutch. When Lebron has 'failed' in the 4th it's highly documented, scrutinized and dissected beyond belief and like no other. He carried the Cavaliers and their roster of clowns and defeated the world champion Detroit Pistons in Detroit by scoring 35 of his 45 points in the 4th quarter and OT of an ECF game. He dominated games 6 and 7(both elimination games against the Celtics last week). I can add to this if needed. What has Durant done? Hitting a game winning shot at the buzzer isn't the only definition of clutch. How can you prove who is the better teammate from your keyboard in Kentucky? More versatile? Are you blind? We did get TV's in KY recently. I would take Durant hands down/zero questions over Bron Bron. Not even close. He has choked way more than excelled. He will never be in the penthouse of the HOF without a ring. Will always be looking up.

June 14, 201214 yr I think LeBron is REALLY tired! I think the fresh legs of OKC are going to show much like you saw in the 4th quarter of Game1. That Boston series was a huge drain both physically and emotionally! That was a tough series!

He will never be in the penthouse of the HOF without a ring. Will always be looking up. Just because you would take Durant doesn't mean that "it isn't close" as to who is the best player on the planet. I would take Kobe over MJ all day every day. That doesn't mean Kobe is better than MJ. Personal preference should never be the reason why one player is considered better than the other. Go ahead and list Lebron's choke jobs. I'll wait.

He has continually been one of the best late game performers in the league for years. The problem with Lebron is that it doesn't matter what he does in the 4th quarter if he doesn't take the last shot, if he misses the last shot or misses a free throw late in the game and Miami loses. The other things he did to keep Miami in the game is forgotten. He could score 25 points in the 4th quarter but if he misses a shot or free throw with 1.2 left in the game then he's not considered clutch and I don't think that is an accurate measure of how clutch one person is. We have seen Westbrook score double digit points in the 4th quarter and watched KD make 1 shot in the 4th(game winning shot) in the same game but KD gets the glory when in reality Westbrook kept OKC in the game. Look at the whole scope and not the highlights.
