Where do you hit him? At least in the 2 spot there is a chance he can bunt Heisey over for Votto. Hitting him 8th and giving away back to back outs is the epitome of ignorance...

No, the epitome of ignorance is having a pitcher followed by two guys with .296 and .184 OBPs hit in front of Votto every time except the first inning. Plus by hitting second Valdez is almost assured of getting an extra at bat, why would you want to give him a chance to make more outs than he could hitting 8th?

Should have hit Valdez 4th...

Nope, that should be Frazier, but that's a debate for a different day.

Could see that coming from a mile away. Love how Phillips just casually jogs down the line too.

Would love, just once, for Brandon to put the team before himself.

There's a reason I was hoping they wouldn't sign him. At the very least they need to get him out of the 4 spot. He's terrible there.

So if Heisey gets on you're willing to give up an out every time, and more often than not have the opposing team walk your best hitter. Simply brilliant. I don't understand why more managers don't hit their weakest bat 2nd.

The only thing the guy can do is bunt. Might as well find at least one use for him...

I want to punch this lady in the face every year...

Spidermonkey with 2 knocks.

Thank you very much.

If someone would've told me prior to the game that Valdez and Cueto would've combined for 3 hits tonight, I honestly would've thought Cueto had his first career 3 hit game.

Cozart is only hitting .302 in his last 10 games with 5 multi-hit games. Guess the off day yesterday wasn't enough of a rest for a 26 year old rookie. Ignorance at its finest. Dusty is a moron.

Makes sense, Cozart has had too many hits lately so I guess he is tired and needed 2 days off. Afterall why would you want to start off a series with a win when you just lost the last 2 series and are 5-7 in your last 12. Oh better get Valdez some ABs because he is so valuable to this team.

Cozart isn't playing because he is sick...

Okay that makes a lot more sense if he is sick. Wonder what he did on the offday??

According to Mo Egger on his show today, Cozart is NOT one of the 6 Reds suffering from the flu. :idunno:

Sometimes with an offday you get the brown bottle flu?
