June 11, 201214 yr Sometimes crap happens. The 8th inning in the last game was a disaster, one that snowballed out of control seemingly in slow motion. I'm going to count it as not a sign but as an aberration. Hated to see that game slip away, but time to move on.
June 11, 201214 yr Well it's been a week with Stubbs injury and the Reds continue to play with a short bench. What is going on that they have to endure this problem? Is it the fact that there is really nobody on the 40 man that can help them so they deal with it until he is ready?
June 11, 201214 yr I really hope that they can bounce back quickly against the Indians. Not trying to be Negative Nancy, but those type of losses can cause a real downward spiral sometimes. When Stubbs does come back I sure hope Heisey has earned the everyday playing time in LF and stays in the 2 spot...The other option that I'd love to see is Stubbs traded in a package for a new LF...How much trade value does Stubbs really have though?

Yeah I also know Johnny Gomes was pretty much ran out of town by fans...Ludwick has got lucky and ran into some but does anyone really want too see him in LF everyday...He has been on the decline for years...If teams throw nothing but Curveballs to him he won't hit a thing...He has had some very fortunate hits and it's painful to watch him get 4 at bats a game everyday...He has 28 hits this year and 15 of them have been either HR's or Doubles, he swings for the fences every time and runs into one every now and again...He is also hitting .200... Since his 2 HR game I don't think he has even been close to making contact, those HR's reminded the opposition to throw him nothing but Curves in the dirt...

I never said I was infatuated...He does have experience whether good or bad I don't think that matters at this point with the options at AAA...Harris has had his chance, Costanzo has had a chance...Their is no reason to play a man down while Stubbs is battling an injury...He has been playing the best ball in AAA since arriving there...I don't get starry eyed over anyone, have you looked into my eyes? There is a reason the Reds snatched him out of an independent league and that is, the Reds offense off the bench is terrible and they lack a lefty...Trust me he wasn't signed to stay at AAA, either he produces and gets called up or he sucks and gets let go...Right now he is proving that he want's another shot at a Big League Roster spot...It won't be much longer if he keeps producing before we see him...The Reds didn't just need another player to fill in at AAA they already have Willie Freakin Harris, Gathright was signed to see if he could prove himself worthy of a promotion and so far he hasn't failed...What does pop have to do with it, the Reds don't need pop off the bench they need someone that can get on base better than what they already have... The Reds have simply a terrible bench and I keep up on the Reds Farm system, you can't really do any worse than the Reds have so far on the bench...If someone is tearing it up in AAA or at any level I will point it out...If the Reds were an Offensive Juggernaut I wouldn't...
