Normally you can sit up at the bar and see what to select from and the menus are in English.

 

I consider my self a sushi connoisseur of sorts. We have it around here but in all honesty you are not going to get good sushi unless you are in or near a metropolitan area. In Louisville Jeff Ruby's has great sushi. Also a big fan of Sapporo in Louisville. Had Kyoto up in Mason, OH a couple weeks back. It was ok.

 

And to clarify, sashimi is not just the fish without rice. Sashimi is the best cuts of fish. It is the filet of a fish. Melts like butter in your mouth.

There's another place up in Mason right off Fields Ertel road called Kyojin. They've won some awards at Taste Of Cincinnati. It's actually an all-you-can eat buffet, which I'm aware sounds pretty undesirable as far as sushi goes. Trust me, though, it's well worth it. Dancing Wasabi is also another solid greater Cincinnati sushi joint.

I have found that it is best to go with a lady friend who knows what she's doing and just eat whatever she puts in front of me. But then again, I like it all. Love it with some spicy mayo, at least I think that's what it is.

Yeah man, that stuff is pretty good. I've found Siracha in stores, but never the orange version....so good.

Yes and no. Not all sushi is raw but some is. Often what people consider sushi is in fact sashimi (which is really good too). Sashimi is just raw seafood by itself from a very fresh and high grade quality of meat. What makes sushi, sushi is that it all has the same cooked rice in it and is in roll form.
