What happened to Stubbs last night?

Hurt himself swinging in his last AB....

What happened to Stubbs last night?

From the reports I saw, sounded like a strained oblique in his last AB...

Twitter says Kris Negron is getting called up. Nothing from the #Reds yet. Don't know if Stubbs is getting DL'd or it's soe other move.

Negron is hitting .212/.291/.336 with 5 home runs, 16 RBI. If he's getting call, it says something about #Reds' Triple-A depth.

He was probably already on the 40 man roster. I imagine we'll see Heisey and Stubbs get the bulk of the time. I hope Walt is busy working the phones.

I guess if Denis Phipps had hit any at all this year he may have got the call. He had a great year last year, but is hitting below .200 this year. You gotta wonder what happened to him.

^ Yes most likely. No many options down in AAA. They are pretty bad.

Kristopher Negron has a career .214/.274/.334 line in AAA (188 games). He joins the big league club tonight. #Reds

^ That's how bad it is.

I can't wait to see if Negron is as bad as Costanzo. Call it pessimism, LRCWitis, whatever. His numbers don't pass the look test, I hope he does.

I'd say it's because Negron can play the OF as well.

He won't see the field IMO. Unless Stubbs has to be DL'ed.

He'll simply fill Costanzo's role.

Paging Aroldis Chapman … | Redleg Nation

Over the last ten games, the Reds’ record is 5-5.

Aroldis Chapman has appeared three times and faced a total of twelve batters. He has not pitched in a tied game. He has not faced a batter in a game where the Reds were down by one run. Chapman has not even competed in a game where the Reds were ahead by one run. The Reds lost three of four games to the second place Pittsburgh Pirates and Chapman did not appear one time.

This shows why even the best closers have relatively little impact on the season. It shows how the Reds are wasting possibly the best pitcher in major league baseball.

Other than starting, in what way should Cincinnati have used Chapman that he could have helped them beat the Pirates in the game Cueto started, Bailey started last night, or the game Arroyo started on Memorial Day?
