You taking MKG or Beal?

 

 

I'm going to say MKG but only because he appears to be a guy who can do many things and will do what it takes and what is needed to win. I've really not seen Beal as much as MKG so I don't know how informed my answer is. Beal seems to strike me as someone who isn't effective if he isn't scoring while MKG can be effective even if he isn't scoring. My assessment of Beal could be way off though but I've seen MKG do a myriad of things and have only seen Beal score.

I think I would take Beal. MKG isn't going to be the guy that gets you 20 points a night. I think Beal can be that guy. MKG hopefully comes into a role where he isn't expected to be a primary scorer for a few years. Knowing how hard he works I have a feeling he will develop a pretty good jumper by then.

Tough call....almost a coin flip. I think MKG could really spark a team to be better with his energy, defense, rebounding etc. I think in the long run Beal might have a chance to be the better all around player. I think MKG would be better playing with a bad team than Beal, and Beal would be better than MKG if he were playing for a good team. Does that make sense? Immediate needs I guess MKG. But complete toss up.

I hope so but I don't expect it. I'll probably just take the plunge and get the League Pass anyways.

 

I was 100% getting League Pass if Davis ended up with the Wizards, but I'll still consider it. I want to see what NO does with their roster. Since I have to adopt them now I'd like to see some pieces I can cheer for

I love MKG, but I would take Beal too. MKG will have a solid NBA career and will be a contributor throughout his career. However Beal could be a really good scorer, and I can see him being a lot like a Caron Butler type. Not a star, but a very good player and scorer.

I agree, I see where you're coming from. I just think Beal would be a better fit for a team like Boston, whereas MKG would be a better fit for a team like the Wizards, JMO.

I disagree, I think MKG would fit much better into a role where he isn't expected to be a huge contributor on offense with a team like Boston. He can do a lot of others things to still help the team win. He is going to be a terror on defense for years to come.

The Bobcats need someone who can score. As much as I love MKG and think he will be a stat stuffer, he has games where he struggles scoring. I see Charlotte going with Barnes because of the UNC connection with MJ.

I'm with you Clizzy, I think Barnes is going to be a much better pro than college player.

I like Barnes skill set but he is missing "IT". I can't put my finger on it but he just seems to disappear and isn't engaged in the game at times. If he figures that out I agree he can be a very very good pro.
