How do you do this to your own daughter, "head-scratcher" of the Century.

So every girl decided to go as well? Were they all getting awards?

Just spoke to one of the Newport coaches he said, when they were taking ground rules Coach Blevins told the Newport coach "at 5:15 were getting back on the bus". I got there at 5:20 and not a soul from Bellevue was there!

And to top it all off........Bellevue pitcher Maddie Blevins was throwing a NO hitter. You can't make this stuff up!!!!!

So here we are tonight with 2 teams playing each other again who are the top two teams in the dst and the loser season is over. Being a Bellevue grad makes me realize even more why my kids do not go there. If they didn't want to play we could have played Dayton or Newport and NCC could have played the other. Sad sad sad.

All I can say is WOW. This is unbelievable.

Could the game not be rescheduled ahead of time, I believe you have till Sat to get all the Districts games in?

No disrespect, but I am not sure Highlands has done anything this season to deserve to be in the regions. Stupid they way they do the draw but I am not sure anyone would feel sorry for HHS if they lose. New Cath has done a little more and they would more deserving in my mind, so I believe they have more to lose.

This district may be worse than the 35th this year and that is bad.

Interesting that Dayton played NCC last night in boys baseball. It wasn't originally supposed to be that way. Bellevue was supposed to play but it was switched so they could attend their banquet.

The Bellevue coach doesn't seem to be on his game like Coach Sanders is for the boys.

This could have been avoided.

This is pretty embarrassing also coming from a Bellevue Grad. The softball program though at Bellevue has been hit or miss over the years. I dont even remember them fielding a team in the late 80's. I still think its sad that they pulled the girls during the game. If I was a parent of a girl on that team I may have to call a meeting with the Super this morning.

Completely agree. :thumb:

Isn't this Maddie Blevins a player? I have only seen her once about 4 years ago but I thought she was really good for her age. Her dad can't find a way around this, crazy!!

Coach Sanders knows a thing or two about effectively running a baseball team.

Perhaps he could have a sit-down with the girls' softball coach and teach him a thing or fifty.

What a bizarre story. Without question this could have been avoided. What is the purpose in showing up, only to leave just a few minutes later?

Over the last two weeks they have played Boone Co. to 2-0 loss and other teams teams from Boone Co. in close games. Beat Dixie Friday night on their sr night 5-4. Are they the same team as in yrs past no but they are still better then the other 3 teams in the district. Thought the idea for the regions was to get the best two teams there from each district.

I will feel sorry for my daughter who is the only sr on the team and I feel it's a shame that a team like Bellevue did what they did and could screw a team whos coaches care and try to win.

I have no dog in this fight.

My daughter, whose only sports were cross-country (5 yrs), track (6 yrs) and soccer (1 yr); and 3 years of college track; wouldn't have missed a game/meet for anything.
