Things might have changed since then, but I really don't see the Elder game being played at Highlands for the above reason and the size limitations of our bleachers.

I could not imagine it ever being played here.

It is amazing how fast they get it in. HHS put their's in quickly. CCH scheduled their first 3 or 4 games away just to give them some cushion.

I haven't gone up to see if they started moving the dirt yet, but I think it's safe to say it will be done way before the season starts from what I was told. It will have turf, bleachers on both sides and so on.....

When I talked to one of the coaches about a month ago, he said they had not agreed to the location of the game. I think he and the other Highlands coaches were hoping it would be at the Pit to help prepare the team for tough away games they are likely to be playing in the playoffs (we travel this year). Things might have changed since then, but I really don't see the Elder game being played at Highlands for the above reason and the size limitations of our bleachers.

 

 

Update. We've reversed course since my last post and we will be playing Elder at Highlands. With only 3 other home games, Highlands needed this game to be at home. Elder was ok with it as they already had 5 (and possibly a 6th) home game and we'd already played on game at the Pit and they had never played at Highlands. Should be a packed house for sure.
