In KY isn't the age of consent 17? I'm not sure how any more can come of this.

It is now a felony in KY to engage in an inappropriate relationship with a student in the building in which you are employed no matter what their age is.

That's the dumbest law I've ever heard of.

Not really, there is no reason for a Teacher, administrator, coach, or school employee to be involved in a relationship with a student for any reason in this manner as accused.

So if I'm a 25 year old senior in college, I'm not allowed to have a relationship with a female professor (that I don't have as a teacher) from my college? That is absurd and stupid.

You are confusing Secondary education with High School.

Actually in KY, as in most states the legal age of consent is 16! BUT, when you are in a postion of authority it doesn't matter if the kid is 18, it's not legal as Planspoken stated. I guess it's they don't want like "Hey, sleep with me and I will give you a better grade" type of stuff.

Okay, be honest, am I the only one who went right to Facebook to see what she looked like? As 4 out of the first 6 that came up, WOW! LOL.

^I did the same thing.

That's not what he said. From his post, one can only take that the law covers all levels of education.

For what it's worth...I know a LOT of teachers, and hardly a single one of them has their straight up name on their Facebook profile.
