Bryce Harper to make ML Debut

That's fine, but from what you said your forming it on what you've read, and not what you've seen from him. Again, that's fine, and you explained your definition of "failing" a little better. I'm sure if he were a Red, or Red Sox, you would feel different about him. :D:D

Much like Phillies fans did about Pete Rose when he became a Phillie in 79.

Probably not considering Phillips still drives me crazy with his showboating in the field.

The fact that Pete Rose is his idol just makes me dislike him even more. :D

There isn't an issue with it. But it screams arrogance IMO. :idunno:

I guess it is arrogant then when children and teens have to drop out of school to get jobs so that they can help support their families.

Completely different situations.

That's just an awful awful comparison.

I don't really see the arrogance from his move to leave early either UKMF. Turns out, it looks like it was probably a good business/professional move on his part. He probably wouldn't be playing in the majors right now if he finished HS.

The kiss doesn't really bother me to much. Act like that, take the consequence of being plunked, but it doesn't bother me.

If he called himself the "Lebron James of baseball"...well that's something that I think is dumb. Let others do your talking.

I'm not following at all on how a wise business decision is arrogance.

How much money do you guys think I will get for catching his first career HR either FRI, SAT? I was thinking about getting seats for the FRI and SAT game out in the RF Sun Deck...Will his first HR be worth anything, I would think that it would be given all the hype...EDIT, Here is a link to how much his Baseball Cards are going for!!!:scared: YIKES

That's cool. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me.

Saturday is almost sold out and cheapest ticket is $25. I'd say it will be worth a few thousand.

If I was to catch it, I would want Bryce to have it. Maybe trade it for some autographed gear/bat/another ball stuff like that.

Trade for straight cash homey. He won't hesitate to hold out for the most money he can when he is a FA and you shouldn't either if you catch his HR ball. Don't be like the dope that caught that Jeter HR ball.

One of his cards on ebay is over $12,000 right now and 12 people are still bidding on it...Kid has plenty of money, I want some of it :D

Nothing like catching a homerun ball worth thousands and giving it back for a bat and some batting gloves because it is the 'right thing to do'. He'll remember your name in the morning. You better get that money.

Not a money hungry person, but I do see your point.

For comparisons sake, Strasburgs first HR given up ball according to a popular DC area Sports Memorabilia Auction Company was worth 10-15,000 dollars...The guy who caught it threw it back on the field though because he was a Nats fan and didn't even hesitate to throw it back :ohbrother:
