Clyde, do you have any info on impact player from Conner Transfer to H.C. . Or any H.C followers heard about it??

 

I've heard the name of one kid maybe going to HC but he does not fall under "impact player."

 

The greatest player ever is the unseen transfer.

The only transfer I have heard of this year has been a kid from Cov Cath. I forget his name but I was told he didnt play varsity last year so I would not consider him an impact play. Has pretty good size and looked to do well in the spring.

Holy Cross used Gabbard and Pouncy at QB tonight against SK. Gabbard looked ok at QB he is tall and skinny nice arm though.

I will tell you one thing about Holy Cross football players, they were out in force in Independence selling cards for local restaurants today. The two young men that came to my door were very polite and nice to talk to. One was a white kid with braces with Indian red rubber bands on them and his jersey on. The other was a black kid with a white shirt on. Being a NewCath grad and football player there, and now a Simon Kenton guy since we moved we had a few laughs together. The HC community should be proud of the way the young men handle themselves and act towards others. Very nice kids, and yes I bought a card from them. Well done young Indians.

I heard today that a kid from Conner did transfer to HC. Didnt catch is full name but Gene was his first name. I believe he plays db/wr but not sure.

I was at practice today to see hc in full pads for the first time. They looked pretty good on offense especially when they went 4-5 wide, teams are going to have trouble matching up with the speedy skill positions on the Indians.

They did look good. Also noticed some additional players showing up just before the start of the season. Always a good sign.Running around 50 players.

They were rotating but Gabbard for the most part. Another was looking on but not in pads. Looked like he was chomping at the bit to get in thou.

He may have to watch for a while. I believe he will need clearance from the KHSAA before he can practice. How long did Pouncy have to watch last year?

A few days but I dont think he showed up until he had clearance. I think his tim was time in helmet that is required beforebfull pads. This may be the case here as well. Not sure if the new kid need clearance or not. He never attended school or played a snap.

I would imagine this is a rare case so not sure how it is handled.

I believe he was in school during the last half of the school year at NCC. I thought I read in another thread a while back that he transfered to NCC sometime after the Christmas break. Can someone confirm that?

He played varsity in AZ. I think that still comes into play. Not sure what the impact of a school in between has on the situation.
