I heard they lost a few coaches that left to be on the Dixie staff any truth to this and if so who?

 

Sounds like they have all returned.

I have heard this "rumor" and also that there may be at least a handful of other athletes in other sports coming out for the football team. However until any of these things actually happen they will only be "rumors". I have heard these types of things at HC since 2002, but the recent state title may actually persuade some of these athletes who are on "the bubble" to come out and at least give football a try.

At this time I would write that off as a rumor. As stated earlier, it is not a given that he will be at HC next year. Besides his basketball success should keep him on the hardwood.

Also there were no signs of other athletes at spring practice as of yet so I would not look for them to show in the middle of the summer.

Holy Cross has the same schedule as last year, where they posted a 7-3 record. How do you think they will end up this year?

I just read a nice article about Beal he is listed at 6'1 185 pounds and he is planning on going to camps at UC, UL, UK and OSU. Hopefully somebody recruits this kid he is a stud.

I'd expect Beal to explode this year. He had some great games this year including a huge game against Somerset when he had 4 or 5 TDs, but this year the offense should revolve around him. He also quit basketball in order to dedicate his whole off season to football. From what I heard the motivation for this was to become the best player in the state, I don't know if that is possible but I would expect alot from him this upcoming year.

What is the speculation about how Beal will be used in 2012? He lined up several ways last year in the effort to get him in one-on-one situations.

I would imagine the same as last year. A little of all, but more often. Just a guess.

Neighbor is friend of asst coach, he said they are very excited about next year. Beal will line up in multiple places showing alot of dif looks. Pouncy will be running back when they use one. Alot of 4 and 5 wide empty backfield sets, make teams defend their speed. Russell kid has really gotten bigger and improved. Gabbard kid big, strong arm and athletic has Morehead and Eastern and some others already interested. Big concern will be replacing linebackers and Koz son on defense. Campbell kid is now believed to be leaving HC.

That is goid for the basketball thread. I would bet he never had intentions of another sport for the last few years, let alone this one.

Conditioning starts today. We will get the first chance to see who put in the effort in the off season.

1. I believe I saw him play when he was at his school in Cincy.

Not saying it isnt true but I have not heard this. HC could always use some impact players but none have transfered in to my knowledge.
