Are grown men really on here discussing ACT scores. Really? There are many facts that go into an ACT type score. Ask anyone from Beechwood and they will tell you the reason their scores are so high is they have an ACT class that juniors and seniors have to take to prepare them.

Seriously RB and Q you give other HHS people a bad name. I have to say in our community we have some very successful business owners doing very well for themselves that went to the school on the hill. Carlisle, Drees, Neltner, Pangallos, Kroger to just name a few. Get off your little ACT soap box.

So we can slam a catholic school in a public post? But not public schools? The truth is what it is, as long as it is fact. Quit crying, life isn't always fair.

 

I didnt slam any Catholic School by the way. I just took offense to Lawnboys post whether its fact or Not. Why should I care Anyway, Im Not Catholic Not do I have any family in Catholic schools. ACT scores do Not measure success, trust me I am Well aware.

However, when you take the scores of the kids who went to the Ft. Thomas/Southgate catholic grade schools and compare them to Highlands, Newcath scores are higher. Likewise take the scores of the kids who went to the Alexandria/Cold Springs catholic schools and compare them with Brossart, Newcath's are higher. Something the Newcath administration doesn't make public in order not to offend those from the Newport, Bellevue, & Dayton catholic grade schools.

 

There's only one left.

A buddy of mine emailed me an article last year that listed all of the ACT scores for all of the catholic high schools in Greater Cincinnati..Guess who was at the very bottom????

 

ACT scores are one measuring stick. I went to NewCath and then Hanover and then Chase. Your education is what you make of it at any school. NewCath is a special atmosphere. Everyone is related to somebody there. It really makes it a comfortable place to go. I enjoyed it and would do it all over again.

The 2nd bolded, I am not trying to make Newcath look better, but I'm certianly not going to let the truth get in the way of the facts. We all send are kids to the schools that we feel is the best fit for them for a myriad of reasons, and ACT scores are the least of my concerns.

I agree. I was just trying to stop the madness. Personally, I think the thread has run it's course and could be closed. If there's more to discuss, then the discussion could continue in the team thread if/when it's posted.

Interesting, I thought I read where a student from NCC got a perfect score of 36 on their ACT last year. How many of those schools can say that they have a student who got a perfect score. I would think that doesn't happen too often.
