March 26, 201214 yr Author My first question is what 2 voters did not include Anthony Davis on the first team?
March 26, 201214 yr Two idiots need to have their voting rights revoked. Love to hear those morons rationale behind not including Davis on their ballots...
March 26, 201214 yr My first question is what 2 voters did not include Anthony Davis on the first team? Probably the ones that refused to vote UK #1 in the polls.
March 26, 201214 yr Probably the same type of people who don't vote first ballot Hall of Famers. They probably decided on criteria that he was a freshman, or that Robinson alone should be a unanimous selection.
March 26, 201214 yr Anybody have a link? Kansas' Thomas Robinson leads AP All-America team - NCAA Basketball - SI.com

I cannot defend their votes. But the only thing I can think of is they selected a true first team of a C, PF, SF, SG, and PG and he did not make the cut? Who knows?
March 26, 201214 yr I bet if you had told the folks at Ames High School two years ago that one of their players was going to be a 1st Team All American, they would have never guessed it was going to be Doug.

March 26, 201214 yr For the record, neither were the ones who kept Kentucky from being a unanimous #1 in the AP Poll. Those voters were Nick Jezierny of the Idaho Statesman (who kept Syracuse ahead of Kentucky to the bitter end - the only voter to vote for Syracuse #1 in that poll) and Scott Johnson of The Daily Herald (Washington, and he moved them up to #1 the final week). Scott Reid did, however, bump Kentucky down to #2 in his final AP ballot, being the only voter to place North Carolina as #1. But really, that doesn't provide any insight into why they would vote here the way they did.
