I have no idea? That is why I am asking :lol: I am pretty ignorant when it comes to law, police protocol, autopsy reports, etc. As I assume most are. Was he in handcuffs for 4+ hours? If a guy has a medical emergency I know they treat it. Beyond that I am not really sure what happens.

Let's assume there would be a splatter. That's a far cry from the calls of his shirt should be covered. It's also reasonable to assume that if he did have some splatter on his shirt you wouldn't be able to see that in the video. And again, maybe his jacket was zipped closed. Or maybe there was no splatter.

 

My point is just like everything else to this point too many are jumping to conclusions and making assumptions based on a security tape that isn't that clear.

 

I did not say that the shirt would be saturated in blood. However, the spatter could cover a large area, depending on distance and where the bullet struck. In any case, both the blood spatter evidence and the gun shot residue evidence on the shirt should be preserved. Perhaps it was. Maybe that's why we don't see any blood on Zimmerman, either his own or Martin's.

Word on twitter is that a new timeline places Zimmerman at the police station 34 minutes after the incident.

Yesterday morning on the Today when they were showing the video they were saying 4 hours. That is where I got that from.

So it was dark and raining enough they couldn't tell who was who in the fight but after they could tell Zimmerman had no injuries?

Unless he hit an artery that would spray I still say there wouldn't be much of a spatter if any.

Waited over a month to come forward? Better have a good reason for the delay or else their testimony will be extremely suspect.

I agree. Although with how shotty of a job the police did with their initial investigation, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they didn't even look for witnesses.

I've read several posters discuss the poor investigation initially done by the police. What exactly did they do or not do that resulted in the conclusion that the investigation was done poorly? Where are you getting that information from and how sure are you that it is accurate?

I've been reading numerous articles and links from the various national news palces (CNN, Fox, MSN, etc.).

 

Seems they didn't really do any investigating. Pretty much took Zimmerman's statement as truth and that was that.
