I don't believe they just popped up this week. We just started hearing their statements again this week. I saw an article that was written not long after this happened and it had witness statements saying Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman hitting him.

I understand it happened on 02/26. But you said witnesses supporting Zimmerman only popped up a few days ago. To me it looked like you were saying they weren't around from the beginning. That isn't the case. There has been a witness supporting parts of Zimmerman's claims from the beginning.

Yes. That was my initial statement. Then I rephrased it to say national media and pointed out that the anonymous Zimmerman witness story didn't break nationally until March 24. When the Trayvon Martin story came out nationally about two weeks after the murder there was initially never any mention nationally that there were witnesses for Zimmerman. You can even follow the Trayvon Martin threads on BGP as the information about the case was released at a national level to see a timeline as well. I knew about the phone call with his girlfriend who was never questioned by the police before I heard about the anonymous Zimmerman witness.

I still wish this would get into a formal legal process for proper 'due process'. All this 'leakage' just keep stirring the pot in a negative way. What ever is done or not done at this point is tainted. Submit the case to the grand jury and lets get it all out in the proper forum.

Bottom line, Zimmerman needs to be arrested. A cop at the scene, the detective who initially interviewed Zimmerman wanted to charge him with manslaughter. 'Nuff said. That's enough right there. We are assuming all these anonymous witnesses are telling the truth. To heck with them, on both sides. I don't need witnesses to know what happened. The 9-1-1 calls; the actual physics of 240 pounds and being 28 years old and acquired his "grown man strength"; vs. a lanky 140 pound 17 year old. That tells me all the story I need. I will admit I didn't care too much for the story until I heard the 9-1-1 tapes. Why would he say they always get away, and then end up in a scuffle with them. That tells you what is on his mind.

For me its not even about race. This is about human interests and rights. No hoodies, no race, no man vs. boy, no Skittles and tea - nothing but human interests and rights.

Any half-witted person can put some sort of semblance of the event together based on what we know. I believe Zimmerman should be arrested. But, I also believe Trayvon whipped his arse real good before he got killed. The evidence suggests to me that they had contact initiated by Zimmerman so Trayvon decided to "stand his ground". Zimmerman killed him trying to play Starsky and Hutch by himself. If life in Sanford was "The Wire" he'd be Prezbo. Killed an unarmed person without legitimate provocation, and has major connections through family.
