Final from Rupp Arena. The Warriors advance to play Rowan County at Noon on Friday

Congrats to the Warriors in getting a win in their first Sweet Sixteen game.

Good to see Southwestern get the win. I think nerves got them in the first quarter. They played much better from the 2nd quarter on. They are capable of playing much better. Subpar efforts from Edwards, C. Epperson and Robbie Lewis. Tip of the cap to Justin Epperson. He played a great game and catapulted Southwestern to the victory. Collier didn't score much if any but he played great defense. Kapinga was Kapinga. He looked good also. He's like Rondo. Get rid of his silly turnovers and develop a jumper and he'll be an even better player than he is. Tremendous poise

Congrats Southwestern. Fine representatives of the 12th region. Good luck against Rowan. Southwestern can win that game.

CONGRATS Southwestern!!!!

Good win, wasnt a great offensive effort, but defense played well. At this point win and move on.

I had heard good things about Hopkinsville but did they benefit from a soft schedule? It doesn't look like the traveled east for any games.

Good and fair question.. I believe they were going to play Rowan at Rupp. But was cancelled. They are really young and could be back for the next two years.

Yes. They play an aggressive trapping defense. They force turnovers and get easy baskets from them. They are very long and have nice height at most positions on the floor.
