What I would like to know is how many people old enough to have been eligible to vote in previous elections voted for the first time just because Obama was on the ballot. I can speak anecdotally only but had a co-worker who was proud of the fact that she (in her 30's) had never voted before but was going to be part of history in getting Obama elected. She has already said it was a one time only event and she would not be voting this time.

Flipping through the report, I did notice that they had a breakdown for each state based on age.

 

Those saying it should be illegal or are unsure by age group:

 

For AL 18-45: 23%

For AL 46-65: 29%

For AL >65: 51%

 

For MS 18-45: 31%

For MS 46-65: 39%

For MS >65: 57%

 

Based on these results, the younger the person, the more accepting they are of interracial marriage. Not where we need to be, but not all is doom and gloom.

33% of likely GOP voters in AL say it should either be illegal or they're not sure if it should be legal while 46% in Mississippi voted that way.

 

These two also have a lot of people who say the POTUS is definitely not a Christian or they're not sure if he is.

 

Must be heck for those right-minded intelligent people in those two states having these folks as neighbors.
