Still making excuses though, I see. The officiating was bad all around. SK didn't get the short end of that stick. Take the loss and learn from it.

From looking at the box score Saturday morning , it looks like they have a couple of weapons. The problem in Florence is the coach has probably already forgotten about that TD pass. I do agree that BC doesn't have a prayer in this game though. SK 35 BC 7.

So you must have either been hanging out with him all day or following him around. I was in the stands Saturday and a few SK players took a lap or two around the field and were talking a little junk at the Ryle Varsity players standing with the team. These kids will say what they say to each other and we as adults will never approve what comes out of their mouths just like our parents didn't approve what came out of our mouths as kids. So I am assuming you didn't hear the SK kids mouthing off? That doesn't mean it never happened. If you heard everything these kids say to or about each other, you wouldn't have respect for the majority of them. Kids will be kids.

I don't think it will take 2 full quarters to get that clock running then. This one gets ugly fast!

What is the running clock rule? 40 point lead? Can they run it in the 1st quarter? If so, has it ever happened?

That is exactly what I was told also. He apparently passed all tests and was given the go ahead by doctors. I agree with RE. At the end of the day, it's only a game. It would be a shame if any further damage were to occur because of a decision based on wins and losses. That said, I am confident that Coach Warner wouldn't let him play if he wasn't 100% sure that Travis was completely healthy.

Well, I guess Travis Elliott is healthy enough to play tomorrow evening. I got word that he practiced today and will indeed suit up and play against SK.

No broken jaw. My son talked to him today at the JV game. He doesn't remember the hit at all. He did say that he was himself today and you wouldn't know it ever happened by the way he acted today. Let's just hope he is fully recovered before putting the pads on again.

Unfortunately it looks like a runaway this year. I don't see any 6A team or any team in KY beating Trinity this year.

Elliott intercepted Kremer and started up-field and didn't see the CC player to his right. He got blown up. That may have been the hardest blindside hit I have ever seen/heard. He had ice on his jaw after the game. Not sure you will see him next week. Hopefully he has a full recovery.

Blah blah blah! Seems to me that all other posters are laying down facts and the only thing you are laying down is "woulda, coulda, shoulda". At what point in the season will your team have enough credibility for you to stop using a scrimmage as a measuring stick for success? And for Christ sakes, hop on your moped and putter on up to Toys R Us and purchase a Speak and Spell. Write it off on your tax return as an Education Credit!
