Don't 'you" (as in all of US) think we have banged on this issue (or non issue) enough? Why don't we agree that P's post above (and others like it ) can be the "official position" on the matter and give it a rest. Two great teams. Two great seasons. ONe great game. One persevered. I think we are both a bit "spoiled". what would all the other schools give to have a fraction of what we have? Sorry need to go put away the soap box,

FOURTH - Kidding about 'imaginary shirts".....is not in the same category IMO -as one calling the Victory a "gift" as in something brought to us by "Santa". That just smacks of "poor loser" to me. Welcome.. -

JR> Thank you for your kind words. I would like to think the "pause" was maybe for this one to be allowed to "sink in" and savored. Contrary to others, it was no "gift." But hard earned from the BEST - if not co best -TEAM in the State. -
Congrats on a great season. Sorry you came up short. It is well known that you have a fine and outstanding program. I am glad to see the sentiment noted above. Just for what it is worth -I know all of us are proud of our schools and programs. Sometime a fine line between "DIE-HARD FAN AND SUPPORTER"...and taking it too far. IMVHO prior to the game I thought some of your fans were way too "strong." God knows we over here never get this way (ha) -but "cocky and arrogant." Maybe in the future might want to keep that in mind. Especially against a really unknown opponent and the situation they come from. Just thought I would 'toss that in" Congrats again and will look for you to be back nesxtg year.

Will you please elaborate - if appropriate - for those of us who had to "go in early" and could not make it. I would caution about saying anything which could be construed as "inflammatory" - since on the X thread (talking about next years team and prospects) I read where one of their posters said in effect "to enjoy this years GIFT - because Christmas may not come next year." All I could do to not reply. Some folks just have no class. Anyway.............what can you tell us about this am ????:thumb: -

I know there were neutral fans there to support C - but when I looked across the stands sure were lots of people in Black & Yellow (or Gold) - -you know ..Yellowjacket colors. -

Whenever I read/hear this type of comment about the supposed "unfair superiority" of the private ...due to "mass exodus of good students and good athletes" - I just want to have someone demonstrate the numbers of parents who gladly and willingly went from a free education to one that would directly cost them in the $7 - 10 k (neighborhood) -- to have that education/atheletic experience

One team came from far Eastern KY, while another from far Western KY. SAw those kids getting on the buses for the long ride home. But bet it was shorter for either as opposed to some other site. Does anyone think there is a better venue - all around (not just the Stadium but hotel, restaurants, etc) than what is offered here? If the weather had been decent Sat. night may have been 20-24,000. From the crowds I saw -in games I -V, looked to me like Central and Lone Oak had the largest contingent. Ask the KHSAA where they would rather have it $$$$$$$$$$$$ -

As I rewatched it - I saw some missed calls as well - on both sides. How great to have that hindsight vision - vantage point - and the luxury of time to be able to carefully analyze. I think we had a outstanding officiating crew. Impossible to catch and call every infraction. "You have to see the entire play." There are probably several things -either way -which very well might have affected the final outcome - either way. That is part of it. It is what it is. Again - great game. Tremendous season for both Teams. A game for the ages. Glad we could be there to witness. -
Didn't seem to help much.........................

I concur as well as to the classy move on X's part. Spoke with a CHS administrator/faculty member who told me. Like to see what the negative public vs. private folks do with that one. /CHS had alot of support in their game from we "privates." Anyway, nice move. Good for both of you.

I guess I am able to somewhat understand the historical irony - but why are we "arguing" over what took place in a Freshman game 4 years ago ? They were 'babies" then - now they are men. I don't get it. Have we run out of things to say about Saturday night ? -
VEry impressive. Then I concurr with other posters on here - to settle the debate -by scheduling HHS -X -T. I very well remember the game up at your place. I think it would be fun to do it again. That would help put things into perspective. I just hate the speculation - posturing - etc. - don't you ???

I think I tend to agree with you. I do not necessarily believe it was a bad or the wrong call. You have one of the two best rb's (and many consider him THE BEST RB) in the state, a hell of a running qb, a tremendous O line, it is not beyond reason that you could pick that up. If so - ballgame - IMHO
