  1. JR. Thanks for your insight. BTW - no offense - but I did like your other avatar better.:D
  2. YOU know the more I think about it - what an upset of historic proportions would it be if the decided Underdog Visitors came away with this one. "Hoosiers" ring a bell with anyone ??? "Anything can happen". AS has been stated before, the last teams standing have obviously risen above the rest. All are capable. "The size of the fight in the dog." The Rocks cannot and will not overlook their Friday night opponents but would anyone else like to see an ALL GREEN FINAL ??
  3. AT... Are you able to say how you accessed that Info. I tried but (what I was looking at ) appeared to be on a 'secure site'. Thanks
  4. JR.... I was not aware that half-time notice to teams by the Officials was protocol or the practice. Some games that I am familiar with such was never done. Teams could go to locker rooms 1/2 mile apart or one stay out on the field while the other went in. It was my understanding Officials will wait on the field for both teams to have completely vacated the field for halftime. At that point they signal the Press box\Timer to begin the running half time clock, which upon expiration then automatically goes to the 3 minute mandatory warm-up period.
  5. You are absolutely right. IMO one of the top class acts out there. Since this is "all about the kids" - this group deserves to be there in the hunt. Good luck to the young Colts.:banana:
  6. You gotta be kidding me? Did they think it was a class trip and they were next in line to go up the Washington Monument? Oh, that's right this was their first ever football game -now I understand.:eek:
  7. IMHO Cincy ST. X is in a league of their own. They are the "real deal" - or at least seemed that way in Sept. I am sure they have even gottne better. AS outstanding as LOU.X is this year - I do not think they would be able to defeat them. They had alot of weapons. No weak spots as far as I could see. That night had the feeling of playing against a 'small college" team.
  8. JS Have to admire your passion and your obvious love for your school -team - and community. You are also correct - and I don't beleive - any team got this far as a 'fluke." They are all outstanding and accomplished much. You have every right to be proud. Good Luck to you and your team on Friday night.
  9. 3 Well said. Some people can't take a compliment or genuine recognition of an outstanding Team (X). I especially liked your reference to LSURock - he would have liked it alot. He does have a good seat to watch all the festivities down here,:thumb:
  10. OX, I agree with your hope that both will escape any traps this week and earn the right to be there at the Final. Just please promise to "be gentle" with us next time around. X possesses probably the finest high school line (on both sides of the ball) in many years. That is where it will be won or lost and hope we do not get embarrased.
  11. I was somewhat familiar with the other two, but tell us more about this one.
  12. BF Now that is not really fair is it? To lump such a wide group together under one general and incorrect heading. You must have missed many of the posts which discussed "respect for the opponent."
  13. Now OX......................How do you know that is not his honest, forthwright, and heartfelt opinion ? Despite the "Lit" the Tigers are the true undefeated # 1 whom noone has really challenged. Give a guy a chance with his openess and honesty.
  14. If it was the same player I saw agree totally. He was not the only one with the pregame 'show." Also agree that it was too bad the playing peformance didn't justify the 'antics." Another poster perhaps said it best when they described "discipline."
  15. IN spite of all the 'smash mouth -- trash talking" going on - most if not all of us appreciate those comments. The past history between T and No. Ky. speaks for itself. No need to relive IMHO. Let's just tee it up Friday night and see what happens. For this is when it really matters - for THIS YEAR. Anything can happen - treat each opponent as if they were the best team you are to face this season. Then go out and do it.:thumb::thumb:
  16. VEry well stated. I believe you have summed up the entire situation. You placed the focus entirely where it belongs. YOu have described the key(s) to success - not some artificial excuse. NOw. let's let the kids play.:thumb:
  17. I do remember and you are absolutely correct. I tend to think most Rock supporters do not take any win for granted and have the utmost respect for every opponent. Most especially this Friday's. I know that's how the Coaches coach. Nobody got this far by being bad. So good luck to you and yours................but GO ROCKS..........
  18. YOU can only play 11. Does it trouble you at all that we very rarely have any D-1 prospects - just outstanding high school kids. Additionally, they are sometimes not near the atheletes as the opposition.
  19. AL - Thank you for the pick. Getting to where I am looking forward to it. I take it as a good omen. Sorry about your Dawgs.
  20. G In addition to last night ...( and I think the Bowling Green game ) which others did you see ????
  21. Thank you .................that was precious...............:banana:
  22. Your absolutely right................this is about the Kids and how special this is FOR ALL THE KIDS..........guess the "juvenile "in us gets carried away with it all............................so sorry If I/ we offended....................and heck its only Saturday............... So thanks for bringing us back into prespective.................Good luck to you and your Team.......
