I think Meyerhoff's coaching style is either one that you like or really dislike, when playing for him. I had a brother play for the guy and they won a National Championship and let's just say there were a lot of kids; as well as parents that did not and still do not care for the guy. I think he is one of those guys that you either really like (which a lot of people do) or you just can't stand. You can't argue with the guys record and coaching, but there are other things that factor in. One of which is how he relates and deals with people. I know based on my experience from that summer, my kid would not play for the guy.

If possible, I would like to be up for consideration. I know that I applied last year and was denied because of lack of # of posts, but I am more of an active reader of BGP, than one that posts frequently. Would love to join the league however, typically involved in three or four leagues a year.

Bronson was terrible, Costanso should not be on this team, Valdez batting in the 2 hole is a joke, and Stubbs was so overmatched against the starter for Pittsburgh today.

Final

The Reds offense, as I stated at the beginning of the year, has way to many free swingers in this W lineup, to ever string lots of hits together. With so many guys that strikeout, so often, it is hard to have big innings. If I had to guess, I would say Pettite won't have another outing this year where he looks like he did last night. He may not have another outing where he makes it to the 7th inning. Leave it to the Reds, they can make any average pitcher look great!

So as far as UC is concerned, is this issue over with? Or are they still looking in to other's involvement?

I could see maybe a 16 or 18 being the number, but no way can they make the number 25!

The Reds are starting out great tonight, losing 3-0 in bottom of 1st. Latos isn't fooling anyone and can't remember he needs to get to 1st base on a ball hit to the 1st baseman. Terrible!

Too many non-contact hitters in this lineup. If you think about it, Votto may be the only player in the regular lineup that constantly puts the ball in play. They have no natural leadoff hitter that gets on base and no individuals (other than Votto) that will take a walk. Hard to have a long inning with a lot of free swingers in the lineup, got to sit back and wait on the long ball, which at this time is not coming.

The one issue that really bothers me about this team is that they do not really have many contact hitters in the daily lineup. There are too many hitters with holes in their swings. This makes it difficult to have prolonged innings because there are so many hitters in the lineup that strikeout alot.

I remember reading on here that Bob Mullins was indeed the hire.
