I was just wondering what you guys thought about this? I see Breathitt getting handled by LCA at Breathitt and Perry goes to Dunbar and gets destroyed. Breathitt and Perry are the 2 powers of the 14th. Is there a weaker region in the state of Kentucky?

Heather Sturdivant is as tough as they come at the Point Guard position. I watched her get about 20 in a scrimmage against the Kentucky All Star team last year at Perry Central. You put Heather in there with some good players of her caliber and she'd probably be the best point guard in Kentucky.

I honestly wished someone could show me all these Athletes they are talking about at PCC. The best athlete in the school doesnt even play basketball. Demetri Travis.

Sounds like the Dores are going to have to take better shot selections and try to get over the 50 plateau. I guess if they can get 50 they can win. A bad shot here, a bad shot there, can destroy this type of offense. You have to have discipline to run Coach Hatchers offense. It will work if the players do it the way they are told.

A friend of mine told me last night that its not the X's and O's its the Jimmies and Joes. It helps to have good coaches but you are only as good as your players.

I dont think I'd worry about it to much. Most of the time when a coach says something like that to a kid, they end up regretinig it. I know I have said some things in the past and then turn around and say to myself "Why did I just say that to that kid for?" Sometimes in the heat of the moment, coaches will say things that they dont necessarily mean. For some kids, saying "you suck" may motivate them to play harder. But into days emotional roller coaster world, the least little thing upsets mommies and daddies little baby. I say suck it up and go on. You havent seen nothing yet. Wait until you screw up at work.

I think MARK DIXON should be named Coach of the Year in Class A. Nice 13-1record Mark at Hazard High. Hopefully you will get a state championship next season.

I guess they played a team that could shoot the ball behind the 3 point line. Maybe it was just a bad night or just an indication on things to come in the future. After this season, PCC could be in for some hard times. Not much talent coming up the pipeline from what I hear from lady Dore fans. Its hard to stay on top all the time. If Perry is lucky enough to win the region this season, it will probably be their last trip for quite some time. But hope I eat my words. Im sure the girls will get back on the winning track against HHS tomorrow night.

Good to hear things are going well for Da Horn. Looks like the Horn is blowing now. Who all starts and gets quality minutes for Buckhorn?

Hazard isnt way below them Master of the Hardwood. They have Hall, Combs, a 6'4 center, and some other good role players as well. They will give the Dores all they want. Madden killed Hazard last year but she isnt there any more. :devil:

How has Katelyn Smith been playing for Mason County?

He has to be the highest paid assistant in Kentucky. How does he get the money for all those Rick Pitino type suits he wears? Well he is definately the best dressed assistant coach in Kentucky.

If Whitman wants the job then it should be his. He has been on the boat with Randy for a long time plus he coached on his own at PCC for a year. He really is the reason Perry is so good anyway. He brings that Louisville Ricky Pitino style ball to Perry. :ylsuper:

All this is speculation. Why would he quit for? He probably makes plenty money. Does he even teach a class? He has it made in the shade and the guy still looks increditibly young for his age. I think he has about 10 more good years left in him. He'd have to be absolutely crazy to stop coaching at Perry Central. The only person with a better job in the county than Coach Napier would be Coach Hatcher.

How many Regional and District Titles did Coach Napier win while at MC Napier and how many years did he coach at MC Napier before MCN and DCHS combined. I know he won the region and the state title back in 94.

I havent heard anything about Coach Browne leaving. Hopefully he will stick around. He has a much easier job than Jason Chappell did. Jason had to teach Special Education Classes all day long. Not to many coaches have to do that. Hopefully Browne will stay. He has a pretty decent group of kids coming out of the 8th grade next season along with many returning players.

Lets not forget about the big guard named Haddix. She is a heck of a player. Who all is starting for Breathitt? Is Kristin Bowan getting some PT?

After watching Kendall Noble this year playing grade school ball, I dont know if any high school girl in the region can play with this kid. She is quick as a cat, she plays with so much court knowledge, she lets the game come to her, and she is about 5'11 now. She has grown about 3 inches since last year. She is a shot blocking machine. Throw in 6'3 Shouse in there with her and good lord who is going to get a shot off? I know that theres another younger Shouse girl coming up that is big and fast as well. I think they will destroy everyone in the region this year. Perry and Knott better bring their A games if they want to compete with the Bobcats. I also look for Hazard to have a nice team this year. Should be an interesting season.

The most complete football player in the state of Kentucky is Belfry's running back/LB Dustin May. The kid is big, strong, smart, and fast. He will be playing D1 football somewhere guarenteed. He plays both ways and simply just dominates people. You'll see that against Breathitt County this weekend. If he were playing in the backfield for Trinity or Highlands, this would be a no brainer.

Imagine if Perry Central and Hazard ever consolidated. They would take the trip up North a whole lot and I dont think the Bluebirds would look forward to seeing them. Better hope this dont happen any time soon Yankees.

I just heard from a good source that Bobby has 285 wins. Looks like he will get #300 by the end of the year. :dancingpa

Will Bobby Keith get that big 300th win this season? Who will carry the load for Central since they lost their big stick Jon Couch?

Is Browne interested in going back to Madison County to coach at Southern possibly?

Just wondering what everyones thoughts are. I for one hope Coach Browne stays because he has done an excellent job.
