I hope Perry doesnt have a Tubby Smith situation going on here where the fan base just wont ever be satisfied with who they got to replace a coach they felt really good with.

PCC don't have anyone that will drive to the basket, they pass it around until someone is open inside or they throw it away. Very slow and deliberate in their offense. The point totals in the 40's are not sitting well with the fans, very boring basketball. Congrats to Cordia on a big win.

A friend of mine told me last night that its not the X's and O's its the Jimmies and Joes. It helps to have good coaches but you are only as good as your players.

They should have known going in that Hatcher had always used that style. Look at the scores at Graves County over the past few years. They win - but it's boring.

Sounds like the Dores are going to have to take better shot selections and try to get over the 50 plateau. I guess if they can get 50 they can win. A bad shot here, a bad shot there, can destroy this type of offense. You have to have discipline to run Coach Hatchers offense. It will work if the players do it the way they are told.

This offense limits one of the better pure shooters of the 14th in Eric Back. The kid can shoot, but it is inside first and then back out if nothing inside. Back would better be fitted in an up and down type offense where he can actually contribute more.

As of today, Eric Back has turned in his uniform and is no longer part of the team at Perry Central. Don't know the details, guess he thought he may of been not getting enough shots. I guess we will have to hold out for the details of this developing story. This will be a crushing blow to the Commodores.

I agree. I think Cordia is the small school surprise this year. It was Buckhorn last year and Lee Co. and Jackson City the year before. JBS is a small school, but no surprise. Cordia is the team no one will want to draw come tournament time.

Below average? They have some tremendous players on their team. His style of play is keeping the Dores from winning!

There is no way you can actually say Cordia has more talent than Perry!No way!
