I heard many players are driven away due to politics. I have no affiliation with the program, but this is just what I hear. This could explain past players that have quit.

The Beechies suffered numerous injuries this season, but another one that sticks out to me is the loss of Chaz Hyde. He was an athletic junior with a lot of potential, but word has it he could only dribble with one hand. He could have made a big impact at the end of the season if he didn't also break his ankle. Look for him to be more improved and fundamentally sound next year.... or so we hope.

Are you kidding me? Shover is an excellent baseball player. He WAS easily their best option at SS. It's beyond me why this kid didn't play A LOT more last season.

I saw him play against J-town and I was very impressed. Where is he getting looks from?

No chance...Cov Cath will have a solid team next season as usual. Also, Beuttel is average at best.

He played for the East Cobb Longhorns and won a World Series with them last summer. I have seen his W.S. ring.

If Beechwood wants to make a run their clutch point guard Trey Beuttel will be a big reason.

Beechwood will return 3 starters, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a few big wins for the Tigers. That being said, I don't think anyone will touch Holmes.

I am not a fan or alumnus of either school but I feel that Holmes deserves to go and represent the 9th. 30 wins this season, averaging winning by 20+ per game. They have been dominating. They will have to earn it though against Cov Cath, but I think that they will give the 9th the best shot at a State Title. That is all that I want to see. The best team be represented. But doesn't this seem a lot like last year? I hope the Bulldogs stay focused, they should roll. I say Holmes by 10.

Beechwood had a decent team this year too in the 35th, all four teams were tough. This was by far the toughest district from top to bottom this season. Beechwood will never benefit from a "good draw" in this district!

It's actually.... 1B-Morris 2B- Williams SS- Gohs 3B- Slusher LF- Colosimo (Hyde is out for couple of weeks) CF- Elliott LF- Picket (transfer from Indiana) C-Miller Larrimore will be a back up for most likely Gohs. Bertke will also back up 2B/3B possibly SS. In the pitching rotation is probable: Elliott Hadden Smith Larrimore Snyder(?) not sure on spelling

I am happy that Bellevue had the chance to play on that stage. Same for Villa, any time a small school can make it to the region it is a great accomplishment. They shouldn't be put down for just being a small school. They should be congratulated, no matter how they got there. Most small schools don't even get a chance to sniff the tournament because of their district pairings. If the stars are aligned and they get a shot then I think it is great. Congratulations to Bellevue.
