  1. Scott by 20+ Hicks doesn't go to the mountains to play around, that 20+ is with the 20 point advantage of playing at Clay. I believe Clay scheduled this game has a fundraiser than for competition!
  2. Pure intelligence! Good luck to my boys from Montgomery.....would love to see them pull it off, its not how you fall its how you get back up, guess we will see how they get back up! Remember game is @ Clark, Clark is the defending Regional Champs!
  3. Gotta go with Clark on this one, looks like Clark is better team now, but I can bet you by the end of they year Montgomery will be 10 points better.
  4. Just FYI The team lost a scholarship for 2008-09, reducing the number of scholarships to 12. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3063434
  5. Mackey was supposed to be 07-08 sign, they lost his scholarship, and have pubically stated he is "no longer" in their signing class!
  6. I believe since he is 18 he could actually go where ever he wanted, it's this "little" court thing thats got him locked down.
  7. The following article was posted in the Georgetown News Graphic http://www.georgetownnews.com/articles/2007/12/09/sports/sports01.txt Bud Mackey is currently denying that he spoke with the Georgetown Newspaper, and according to his terms he is not allowed to become a resident in another state while under a full cash bond in Georgetown. If you saw the letter in the Lexington Herald Leader, his lawyer is even denying that he has transferred to an Atlanta High School, Link is below; http://www.kentucky.com/275/story/253814.html This is even more unfortunate for Mackey, looks as if he is going against advice of court system and his own lawyer. That is unless Georgetown Article is bogas, looks as if Mackey is getting some bad advice. He is going to have to serve a penality for his actions and the bottom line is that he will never again play for Scott County. Let's just hope he gets a second chance, but it looks as if he is going to serve the time before he gets his next opprotunity. I just hope others learn from this situation!
  8. Hate to say it but big win Knights, congratz!
  9. Tough L, but it's early in the season and a time when a loss is not the end of the world. Best way to beat a zone is to beat it down the court! Hazard, is on track to end their season in Rupp!
  10. Is there any way I can watch stats on computer, cant have the audio playing during school :madman:
  11. GRC Freshman class was awful in the Bluegrass Conference 8th Grade Middle School last year, I know they were missing Stenzel....but he couldnt have revived that team, Mason's freshman group has been beating Clark's like a redhead step child since they were 8! Just my opinion!!
  12. My thoughts and prayers are with the coach and his family!
  13. I've said this before, but the big 3 at Mason, will have a legit shot at the state title in two years if they have a couple more step up, 8th grade team last year was solid but had no bench. As far as the freshman team, if the JV and Varisty is not playing and the Freshman in question is not starting Varisty I dont see it as wrong that they play Freshman....only problem is that is a load on a kid, they could be playing 8 games a week between F, JV, and V!
  14. Griesser wont be their long! He's a class act and will get the program playing good competition and will have them ready for the post season, new style sounds fun to watch, who do they play next?
  15. Fayette Middle Schools dont start playing until late Jan., I dont believe that the Public Middle Schools in Fayette are even allowed to play Lexington Catholic (or any team outside of district other than in the KBA State Tournament). One reason Lexington Catholic is solid is that they go year round, and there is no Lexington Catholic Middle School, not sure who regulates basketball since their is not one LCMS...but thats an entire different issue!
  16. Word is the deal fell through, looks as if they are hosting winter leagues at the KBA, have you heard any different?
  17. Why dont they conform? Is there a certan group against it? I would think it would have to be the superintendent or the school principals that like it like that.
  18. How have the younger kids from Montgomery County been doing? JV and Freshman records??
  19. I know this is a High School thread but, I am interested in knowing your opinions on how Fayette County treats Middle School basketball (dont know the exact rules but I do know they limit the games compared to area districts and only allow teams to play other Fayette Co. Middle Schools, and they play some junior pro rules, like cant press in the first half etc..). Do you think this directly effects Fayette County High School Basketball? In my opinion this drastically hurts the development of basketball in the entire District and makes the athletes start with out a "full deck" in comparison to other Districts in the state. What do you think?
  20. I think we are going to see pay off from the off season work that the Indians put in, past Morgan County, I look to see them being a serious regional contender by tournament time.
