  1. College football does NOT need them to excel or even be successful. They have sucked for years and there seems to be as much interest in college football as ever, most especially this year.
  2. Not certain he is a "stud", but he certainly looked very good last night and quite composed for a sophomore starting his first varsity game. He also played some very solid defense. Should be fun to watch him the next few years.
  3. I was debating between Bellevue/Holy Cross/Cov Cath for the last spot. I just felt that CCH had such a down year that Bellevue was more deserving, but I would not put up much of an argument if someone wants to claim either of the other two should be there instead of the Tigers. In looking at Humped Camels' list, I will say that I most definitely think Ryle should go before Dixie and CCH has no business at all in the #7 spot.
  4. 1. HHS 2. NCC 3. Beech 4. SK 5. Boone 6. Conner 7. Ryle 8. Dixie 9. Campbell 10. Bellevue
  5. I think I'd go with OPS, since it includes OBP and Slugging.
  6. "The Gods Must Be Crazy" (or something like that). I can't believe I just thought of this one, as I haven't seen it in over 20 years. It's a very funny story about an African tribe that finds an empty Coke bottle (thrown out of a plane) and the absolute chaos it reeks on their small village. Doubt most video stores would even carry it. Anyone else ever seen it?
  7. Can't blame OU for "UC not being prepared for the limelight when they matched up" (assuming that's true). Bottomline is that OU dismantled the current #13 team in the country and have to be given credit for that.
  8. Sure seem to recall quite a few people on this site just a short few months ago saying the Reds should pay Dunn 12+ million range to stay.
  9. Is the "Search" working? Half the time I can't even open it. When I do open it, I know for certain it is not producing accurate results.
  10. No. I do know they missed the front end of a couple one-and-one's, though, and that always hurts.
  11. I'm wondering if the loss of Flannery might have a bigger impact on Boone - at least intially - than expected. He was certainly a guy that could extend defenses and open up some room for Gabbard, as well as allow Earls to stay inside more. It looks as though Popp may be filling that role now? He certainly can shoot.
  12. A lot of the fouls were ticky-tacky - for both sides - in the first half. It just kind of worked out that more were called against Boone, but I don't think it was quite at the 2 1/2 to 1 level (I know Ryle put them in the bonus and there's no way Boone had 17-18 fouls called on them). Bottom-line is that Ryle wasted a great opportunity in that half.
  13. Mandatory sentencing in general or just for this crime involving a NY Giant?
  14. If there is a D1 quality QB in NKY at this time, he is it. Probably a small stretch, but as much potential as many of the names touted in the D1 thread.
  15. I'd feel pretty good about OU's chances of scoring more than 20 against Florida or Alabama. But clearly they have some defensive concerns that need tending to if they're going to beat either of those two.
  16. "Jessie's Girl" - Rick Springfield "Eye of the Tiger" - Survivor "Invisible Touch" - Genesis "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" - Police "Authority Song" - John Mellancamp
  17. And your point on this is what? That Plexithug was telling the truth about being shot at Applebee's?
  18. I have no idea. Stauffer appears to offer much more offensively, but Nichols is a bigger body on defense.
  19. And did an extremely poor job taking advantage of this. Could have easily gone into halftime with a double-digit lead and then all the second half turnovers don't hurt quite as badly.
  20. Sure does hang around the perimeter an awful lot considering he is Boone's biggest player on the court. He should be a much bigger factor inside than what he was last night.
  21. Ryle will need to get a far better job from their PG to penetrate and provide some easier scoring opportunities for their big guys. Very little of that last night.
