  1. Very slow-footed, very little vertical jump. It's one thing when you're one of the taller players on the court. He won't be at D1. What possible role would he play for KY?
  2. Nope. But tonight showed that there is a potential weakness to be exploited there. Not that anyone in the 9th has the ability to cause as much pressure as Scott did tonight.
  3. No one in 9th Region can stay within 20 points of Holmes. But if someone does, it'll be because they were able to put some pressure on Holmes with a press. Holmes stuggled quite a bit with that tonight. Euton is the future of UK basketball?
  4. To think he could be at Ryle . . . . talk about a lineup with some heighth.
  5. Anyone familiar with Moeller - does Griffin McKenzie not get much playing time for them? I noticed he wasn't in the scoring box.
  6. A very unimpressive game to watch for the most part. Makes me think that UC is going to have a real tough time putting points on the board once they hit their conference games.
  7. So it couldn't be that perhaps they go deeper in their rosters with very talented players, as opposed to simply having all the "best players" at the top of their rosters? Couldn't have anything to do with the level of coaching at these schools? Or the fact that they are both simply great, well-run, established programs/systems? They no doubt have some very, very good players, but to claim they should have a dozen spots on the all-state team is ludicrious.
  8. Perhaps it would just be easier if AP names everyone from Trinity and St. X as all-state and then have another designation for "All-State (But Not As Good) Non-Trinity/X Players."
  9. Glad Bradford won. Besides the fact he deserved to win, I am just a tad "over-Tebowed" at this point. He's just too perfect . . . .
  10. Yes. We live in a subdivision, but don't have anyone behind us. I guess we do aim the light at the back of the neighbor's yard where it turns into heavier woods also, but the light isn't ever aimed at anyone's house.
  11. Wow, what a sad story and even moreso around the holidays. Sounds like she was a terrific young lady. Prayers . . . .
  12. I disagree with his response on several levels, but don't feel like spending the time any longer to convince either him or you. Ultimately he'll not convince me to change my mind and vice-versa, so there's not much point. Sanders was great and so was Brown. I just happen to think Brown was the better of the two.
  13. You can always start another thread asking for the best players from around the entire state. The only problem is that most people, including myself, tend to only be familiar with the players in their respective area. But nothing wrong with getting another one going . . . .
  14. Good start for Kentucky in the Bluegrass/Buckeye Classic. Next game's going to be a bit tougher . . . .
  15. Assuming the intent of the original poster, whom I know, meant for it to be a "Best at Each Position in NKY" thread.
  16. So you're also making the point then that the defenses that Brown played against in that era knew he was going to get the ball and would stack the line to stop the run? Kind of works both ways. And while it may be fair to imply that Sanders accomplished things that Brown could not have done, I am pretty confident it's also accurate to say that Sanders - due to his size - would not have been able to accomplish some of the things Brown did. Namely, score TD's at the goal line. I agree, they are both great. But, I would take Brown by a nose.
  17. Don't disagree at all. Never really liked the guy. But as far as what he did on the playing field, it speaks for itself.
  18. Pugh (catcher at Conner) is certainly worth a mention.
  19. Yep, pretty certain. There aren't any good players outside of NKY anyways.
