2020 2020 FOOTBALL RULE MODIFICATIONS In support of the NFHS Guidance for Opening Up High School Athletics and Activities, the NFHS Football Editorial Committee offers this document for state associations to consider whether any possible rules could be altered for the 2020 football season. The modifications outlined in this document are meant to decrease potential exposure to respiratory droplets by encouraging social distancing, limiting participation in administrative tasks to essential personnel and allowing for appropriate protective equipment. 1. Team Box (Rule 1-2-3g) • The team (players only) box will be extended on both sides of the field to the 10-yard lines, (coaches will continue to be restricted from 25 to 25-yard lines), in order for more social-distancing space for teams.

This may (or may not skew the data) - its unknown. That could have easily, very easily, been addressed by including that category in its own column. And in the limitations section there are these interesting statements: "The findings in this report are subject to at least six limitations. " "First, vaccination data for persons who lived in Los Angeles County at the time of their laboratory-confirmed infection but who were vaccinated outside of California were unavailable, leading to mis-classification of their vaccination status;" "Third, COVID-19–associated hospitalizations were determined based on hospital admission and SARS-CoV-2 test dates alone, leading to the inclusion of incidental hospitalizations that were not associated with COVID-19." So if you tested positive not long after getting final vaxx; or you were vaxxed outside of Los Angeles County; or if you were admitted to the hospital for something completely unrelated to COVID but tested positive upon addmission - your counted as part of the "unvaxxed surge in hospitalizations".

The obesity is a problem due to the fact that obese people are usually also low on Vitamin-D levels. And Vitamin-D level may be the number one factor in outcome. An anti-body test may be in order. If you have anti-bodies then you may have "had it" and never known it - many may be in that category. Some had mild versions of covid and never formally tested. If you are young (less than 30) there seems to be little reason to vaxx at all. Natural efficacy is 99.x%. Vaxx - less than that. The single dose comment is what I found odd in that report. They are part of the "unvaxxed" but may be the better protected.

Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant." It seems to say natural is better than 2-jab vaxx. But it also seems to say natural + 1-jab offers better that just natural alone. That is how I read this conclusion. So "partially vaxxed" and previously infect is optimum? Just another data point to add to the mix. As a naturally vaxxed person, I will say the most noticeable long term impact has been taste of Coca-Cola. Whatever COVID did back in November - it seems to have changed the taste of Coke forever. Strange.

Just to keep in mind. There is no legally "FDA approved" vaccine available or in the pipeline yet. The "approved" version has yet to be put out for distribution. Only the "EUA authorized" version is available and will be available for some time. Its probably to the companies advantage to use the EUA versions for as long as they can. Less liability.

Another dangerous social media "challenge" goes viral. I just heard about it yesterday. Just pulled up a video montage. Seems easy. Walk a pyramid stack of milk crates and walk down the other side. The peak being 7 crates usually it seems. It reminds me of the rope ladder carnival game. It sounds easy. Until the person is on the 6-high stack or the peak. That is where bad things usually happen.

Given the manipulation of counting methods I find them hard to trust. But even more so, I will go to anecdotal, but trusted, situations. Three people I have direct knowledge of are vaxxed and hospitalized. I have no knowledge of anyone that is unvaxxed and hospitalized. Of the vaxxed hospitalized 2 are covid. One is younger (less than 30) and in medical field, the other older (upper middle aged). Both hit hard. ADE victims? Hard to say. The third person is also younger (less than 30). She is in ICU with diagnosis of myocarditis. Myocarditis is a known "side effect" of the vaxxes. Unfortunately, it is a serious, usually long-term condition and one that usually hits people later in life - not when young. So, my direct knowledge does not match "the reported" at all. Thus far, I will attest to natural vaxxing. If that changes I will let folks know here. One couple I know did the vaxx thing. They had anti-bodies testing done before vaxxing. He had no ABs. She did. He did not get ill following vaxx. She did. Both times. That, anecdotally, maps to the stories that apparently those already with ABs tend to have more negative reaction.

The unvaxxed that are non-symptomatic are not a problem. If your ill you isolate. If you are not symptomatic, your likely not spreading (science has shown this). The apparent issue is that the vaxxed are have symptoms suppressed (unless they are a victim of ADE) and thus may have high spread with fewer to no symptoms.

Some insight from reading on the Pfizer approval. Two "legally distinct" products exist. Page 2 of letter from FDA to Pfizer. The new product is not yet manufactured. All current distribution is based on the EUA version Thus, as of now. No FDA-approved is available for distribution - as of now. The date for actual FDA-approved product has yet to be determined. There are some gates to final approval; initiate manufacturing and initiate distribution. They likely will continue to distribute the EUA version till its exhausted. Its interesting that they are "legally distinct". That maybe related to liability.

I have not seen how Moore's Law applies to vaccines. But with this logic of improved technology one could make an argument babies should only need 6 months from conception to birth. Bill Gates funds a lot of medical stuff. But not sure the lessons learned from Windows apply to medicine.
