Obviously you have a more personal reason to defend Mr. Columbia than you let on. He may be a fine man with all the best intentions in the world, but his record speaks for itself. I have never been a fan and am not now, I hope everything works out for Paul and wish him no ill will, it is time for a change simple as that.I hope Clark County football moves in a new direction and we become a competitive part of 6a football, nothing more nothing less. I will sit with anticipation as the school board seeks his replacement, and hope the winning tradition returns to GRC!

Three seasons of 8+ wins, you see success in that? A single district championship, in how many years as head coach? That my friend is not success at any competitive level. I have seen the talent he had to work with year in and year out. The middle schools were winning championships with the same players he couldn't break 500 with. Sometimes as grown-ups we have to suck it up and move on. Take your lumps for the team and move on! It is part of what some call character. Walk away with your chin up and head high knowing you did your best. Slinging mud is only going to hurt everyone involved.

Taylor Howard is a great kid! He will improve with every game and with his confidence growing. This team will be in the hunt for a trip to Rupp come spring! Clark County has simply re-shaped and re-loaded!

Don't think Stults is the man for the job, Mrs. Farris will be able to get the right man. She will not use the "good Ole boy" system that has gotten us the less than stellar football we have endured since Columbia took the helm. Gutsy move on Mrs. Farris' part, but she has the best interest of the student athletes as her main interest. If a young man is willing to pour his heart and soul into something make sure he has the best tools to use! Columbia should have walked away and left well enough alone. This will only hurt the program so many said he cared about. Obviously not the case!

I think a sub 500 record speaks volumes! Sometimes you have to realize when you are not cut out for a job and move on.:isurrender:

GRC played a very experienced Montgomery squad to a 2 point loss in front of a rowdy home crowd. I was waiting for Montgomery to cut the nets down after they won! They have a lot to prove before they get my nod for the tenth region crown. Cardinals will be there in the end as usual with a chance to punch their ticket to Rupp!

I been telling people for awhile Rowan was a good team. Christian County has to be the favorite but Rowan could pull it off. Good luck to both!

Ever wonder why they call it March Madness? The last few days is exactly why. Great run by Eastern and GRC two very experienced and talented teams. One bad game by each an you end up with a new state champ! I love basketball for that very reason. Thanks for the memories guys and good luck at the next level!:ylsuper:

I don't know if anyone else in the tournament will get within 15 of Eastern! Thanks for playing your hearts out GRC we still love you guys win or lose! It is easy to sit back and criticize this game but these kids poured their heart and soul into this season and they deserve at least a little compassion and respect!

I assume you have seen them play? They held a good Oldham County team to 39 points yesterday! Defense was probably pretty good.:idunno:

GRC matches up very well with Eastern, better than they did with Ballard. Look for a low scoring grinder of a game and GRC should prevail. 58-52 GRC. Until today I thought Eastern would walk through this tournament, I don't believe it now.

Clark County has played with confidence all year. They beat Mason at home already this year. They have played all takers backing down from no one. Mason, Pendleton,Scott etc.etc. Their was no fear of Mason or anyone in the tenth region. Just another case of Mason county ego showing itself! We as a community have won State Championships before and competed in many sports at the state level. Clark County is not the type place where one sport is "King". Trust me when I say this team would have been even more fired up had they played Mason county again! :irked:

Survive and advance! This is why you don't play games on paper. As far as Mason pulling the upset, they haven't made it to the final round yet!

I do not see where anyone slighted Montgomery Counties effort or failed to admit GRC'S shortcomings in the final quarter. This game has always been a good one and both teams play to win.

The officiating is part of the game. We get on here to talk about the game. The world isn't all cookies and cream. There are things we don't like about it and warm fuzzy comments are nice but not reality.

No excuses asked for here, Referees were terrible! GRC made a lot of dumb mistakes but were able to pull this one out. Just because someone comments on the officiating doesn't mean they are making excuses. Ask anyone from either side and I think you will get the same response,it was bad!

Montgomery County was trying to foul for the final 2- 2.5 minutes! Referees stunk this one up pretty bad, what few they did call against Montgomery in the first half were bad!
