GRC advances to the finals of the 40th district. Stats in a few

Bopper Stenzel was named player of the game.

Scoring for GRC all players played. Didn't get scores for Paris.

Zollo 11

Robbie Stenzel 24

Bopper Stenzel 8

Purvis 19

Daniel 6

Rogers 5

Whitton 8

Howell 0

Martin 3

Skinner 5

Fatkin 10

Roberts 3

Nice start to the game by GRC. They came out with intensity against a team that they could easily have been looking past. The starters got to rest and the other players got to get some court time. Skinner had a nice game in relief of Bopper Stenzel.

Robbie looked spectacular while he was in. Big games from Fatkin, Purvis and Witten. There bench is getting even stronger!

What does Paris have coming back next year?

I believe their best player, Aaron Jacobs, is only a sophomore.

Junior

I noticed some missing players last night, Charlie Rogers for one. Where were they at?

I saw him play in the JV regional tourney at Bourbon Co. a couple weeks back. He was very disrespectful to his coach and his team mates. Maybe there have been some consequences for his actions that day.

@NKYThreeFer, I think that Jacobs is a Junior, but either way he is a good player, put some other players around him and they could be dangerous.

Clark is also missing Van Cleeve and the other little point guard (Domonique??? might be his name), any word on what happened with them?

Yes , he was in street clothes on the bench. Not sure if he is going to dress tomorrow night or not.

One thing that impressed me about GRC's play last night was their focus and intensity. Get a team down and put them away. They need to keep this up all post season play and not let the other team get back into the game.
