Even the refs could not help MC win game. GRC was punished all game for being tall. Evenly called this game would not have been close.

Much closer than people expected. Watch out for Montgomery in the region and GRC should be the favorite.

I hardly ever comment on the refs...but boy I feel sorry for the region they will be calling next week.

 

With 2.54 in the 3rd Daniel fouls outs. GRC was up 57-39 at the end of the 3rd quarter. MC outscored GRC 20-10 in the 4th. As I stated in another thread, a win is a win at this point. Advance to the next round.

Typical hard fought game by both teams. This has to be one of the top rivalries in the state year in, year out. Now both teams need to go to the region and make some noise.

10 am Saturday at Mason County

The good thing about the refs was that their calls were consistanly bad for both sides. I'm not sure they got a charge/block call right for either team all night. But a win is a win and now we wait for the drawing on Saturday. Daniel had a nice offensive game what little he got to play. I also beleive GRC had the bigger crowd. Michael Martin had been a nice player of the bench the last few games also. Always makes a few hustle plays.

Pretty sure girls draw Saturday at Mason Co because something is going on at Bourbon Co. I think boys draw Sunday afternoon.
