  1. Simon has faced top ranked teams, beaten some and lost to others. Stowers made sure this team faced some strong opponents this year. Does anyone know what ranked teams Breathitt has played and how they did?
  2. Super job last night Lady Pioneers. You brought your A game and when that happens, you are hard to beat. Now let's go down state and show them how we play ball!
  3. Simon Kenton will open the tournament play at Diddle Arena Wednesday at 6 against Breathitt Co. What are their chances?
  4. Everyone hates a winner! We've dealt with these sentiments all season. SK girls are the team everyone wants to beat because everyone knows their caliber of play. :ohbrother: Go Pioneers!
  5. Kayla Smith was in foul trouble the first half. Interesting reunion for Tolliver, Smith, and the Figgins to get to play on the same floor again with Spencer County's Ashley Wiley. The four played with Wiley in a booster league when they were 9. That's right, Wiley is from Independence and she could have been a Pioneer if she had stayed in the area. Now that could have been interesting!
  6. Just reread the article and although the wording was confusing, I believe it meant they each were to split a guaranteed $65,000. Sorry for the confusion. I couldn't see how that total was correct and now I think I know what they meant. Still, a lot of money.
  7. Article in the Enquirer said each 9th region school playing at BOK was guarenteed $65,000. That may make some one think about it.
  8. Monday March 2 South Oldham vs Walton Verona at 6:00 Anderson Co. vs Carroll County at 7:30 Tuesday March 3 Simon Kenton vs Spencer County at 6:00 Owen County vs Oldham County at 7:30
  9. Got it. Thanks :ylsuper: Monday, March 2 South Oldham vs Walton Verona at 6 Anderson County vs. Carroll County at 7:30 Tuesday March 3 Simon Kenton vs Spencer County at 6 Owen County vs Oldhas County at 7:30
  10. All I've heard is SK plays Spencer Co. Tuesday at 6.
  11. Brendan and Jeff are first class coaches getting the job done. When the game is on the line, I would not want any other coaches calling the shots for my team.:ylsuper:
  12. Congratulations Allison! We're proud of you over here at S.K.! Good luck in the post season.:dancingpa
  13. This was a great game for both teams to get them ready to head into tournament play. Their intensity level is up and ready to meet opponents. They can battle with the best. Good luck to both teams during their district and regional quest.
  14. :thumb: It's hard to believe these girls are seniors. They have been fun to watch over the years and ALL are a class act. They are great students, athletes, and young ladies. We will miss them next year but right now, we look forward to watching them make a second run towards Diddle! Go get em girls!
  15. You are correct. The game is on 2/2. SK faces Walton on 2/3
  16. SK went to the locker room at half time up by 2 and carrying momentum. They continued this momentum and :banana:came back strong after halftime offensively and defensively. They played great team ball and South Oldham had a difficult time dealing with SK's inside and outside game. Great job ladies. Hats off to South Oldham County for a great matchup tonight and for a strong regional win against Shelby County earlier.
  17. This outstanding team is a one level:banana: squad. This year they are 16U.
  18. Tolliver and Smith were both sick for this game. Both played sparingly and were definitely not at 100%. Second half ended with Shelby showing they committed only one foul while Simon was tallied for nine fouls.
  19. We wish strength to both Heather, her family and her teammates.
  20. Shelby shot the lights out and brought their A game. Good luck in the tournament Shelby. Lady Pioneers, you posted a great season and only lost to two teams all year. You'll be back - keep working hard.
  21. She is back and playing with a mask.
  22. Pioneers are victorius. Final score 54-30.
  23. Does anyone know the 8th region matchups?
