Who will be the Assistant Coaches?

They may be playing in the Lexington Catholic pre or post Xmas Tourney seems like I read as well. Like the jump in playing competition, since they always play Harrison and PC, being in the same district. Would like to see them add Campbell County ,Scott and Brossart just to name a few. They have top notch facilities and the team over there to sign a home and away meet once a year type of contract with those type of schools

The most recent roster on the KHSAA website lists 20 I believe, with one being a girl, a couple of freshman and sophs. I know at least one on there has since transferred. Am assuming they have anywhere from 17-23, you figure some first timers may quit, not being used to it,etc.

Will Berea be fielding a team? Didn't they forfeit some last year?

Scott or Campbell once again by a wide margin. GRC talented as any as usual but just fold against the Northern Kentucky juggernaut. Gonna throw Bishop Brossart in that battle for the 4-5 spot. Agree about RC at #5 possibly, but would like to see them schedule Scott,CC,GRC,Mason County,etc. to make them better at the end and see how they compete during the season, they've got the talent, just hate to see them playing Silver Grove 3 times a year. Watch out for Mason as a possible #3

Hope your right, but some unexpected kids are going to have surprise and blow up. Would think teams game plan would be to just stop Fisher. No Appleman,No Teegarden,No Deaton

I had heard that as well. Am sure that there were many colleges local and otherwise that offered. Maybe just got burned out like a lot of these kids do or will . Good for him

Can't recall reading anything on here or elsewhere of Leevi having a signing day where he made his choice. Just remember at Maco's senior night, it was said he would be attending Morehead State. Is this where he is going? Scholarship or walk-on?

Along with some key playmakers. OC may have to tweek things a bit to adapt to those that are back

Will any of Coach Biggs staff be coming back?, am assuming no. Don't know Coach Myrick, but really like the addition of Coach Gilbert to the staff. Good hires by the AD.

I don't think you understood my response. The decision to hire someone with experience as teacher,AD,etc. my have been the economical one, but if a small community doesn't go all in with this, you may have an experienced coach,teacher,AD with no players. Hope Coach Newton understands this. I really thought they would go with hiring just a PE teacher, have Kelsch assume AD duties and go with the local big 3 or 4 as the coaching staff

All the experience in the world does you no good if you have no players. I like it when Augusta is competitive and fun to watch aka the Hinson years, I sure hope this decision doesn't set them back in a few years like St.Patrick will be this season

I thought i read that was the reason he left boys coaching at Nicholas County was to coach his young daughter at Bath County when that girls coaching job came open. Didn't he coach his son at Nicholas County until he graduated? Kinda strange, but maybe not, I guess.
