Bracken County 2018

Featured Replies

What does Bracken County need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

They bring back the main parts on offense, but lose almost all their offensive line

Along with some key playmakers. OC may have to tweek things a bit to adapt to those that are back

I could see Bracken begin a slide back to reality this season. They have an outstanding running back but the question will be the pieces around him.

I don’t see them going back to winning 2-3 games a season reality. I see them winning 7+ games this year with a potential to win district.

Hope your right, but some unexpected kids are going to have surprise and blow up. Would think teams game plan would be to just stop Fisher. No Appleman,No Teegarden,No Deaton

QB does a nice job, too.

Bracken County was scheduled to play Trimble County on September 7th, and they have cancelled their season. They now have the option of playing either Shawnee on Sept 7th or Owen County on Oct 26. Both opponents of Trimble County.

Offense will go as far as the line goes, but that can be said about every team, unless they have a Barry Sanders type and running back.

QB Trey Braush(77-133-13 TD 7 INT'S) One would believe he needs to get the picks down and the completion % up into the 60% range)He struggled in the playoffs(6-18 1INT 0 TD)That has to improve drastically if success is going to happen. In all likelihood the Junior will be much improved in all areas of his game.

Tad Fisher(191 carries 1,506 yards 20 td's) is back for his senior year.Only 4 times did he not break the 100 yards mark, and in two of those games he had a combine 15 rushes(6 in one game 9 in the other) Against Ludlow he had only 74 yards on 21 touches and against Paintsville he had 83 yards on 18 touches. Can he touch those numbers again this year?

According to the KHSAA page, there are only 21 listed on the roster, with one being a female. Immediately depth is going to be a gigantic issue, if that number is true. Hard to run a true practice when you do not have enough players. There were 30 players listed on the roster provided on the KHSAA page, for the 2017 season.

With the lines being basically new and you,it would be hard to think this group can improve on their season from a year ago. Which I read was the best in school history.

Hopefully the numbers grow by the start of the season and this unit can get hings clicking early and often.

Will Berea be fielding a team? Didn't they forfeit some last year?

Berea has a roster posted with 24 players on it. That indicates they are playing football.
