Terry played extremely well on both ends of the court, but the point guard from Lewis also played extremely well almost matching Terry bucket for bucket. At some points in the game it looked like no one on RH wanted to shoot the ball, or they didn't know who was supposed to shoot the ball. I was impressed with the way that they came back though it showed a lot of poise from the young kids. I think RH will be fine by tournament time. They just need to get used to playing with Euton and Jackson.

The Faulkners played relentless D all night causing a large amount of turnovers, and all the Elliott players bulked up from last year which is going to make the even tougher. The only thing that might hurt Elliott, the Faulkners especially, is a tight referee because they always have one if not two hands on the ball handler. Timmy Knipp looked a lot better this year. He was not picking up silly fouls and took it to the basket hard. The dunk he had over Stenzel, not Zollo, was one of the best I have seen in high school in a LONG time. Zollo had about 11 points when I left with about 4 minutes to go not sure what he finished up with though. I think he a good player, but with the up tempo pace he was not really able to get into the flow of the game. Kind of how Patterson was a nonfactor against VMI. I want to see him play against another true post player before I make a decision on how good he is. GRC has some good athletes and will be a force to be reckoned with when it comes tournament time.

Let me say that I'm not a Scott Co. fan, but I have seen Euton play several times. Some say he is only good enough to play at UK but he also recieve a scholarship offer from Florida and attended Duke's elite camp so apparently other coaches think he is a high D1 talent. Some say he isn't athletic enough, but you can not challenge his ability to shoot, he is deadly. He is not the best athlete we all know that, but I think the great Larry Bird proved you don't have to run the fastest or jump the highest to be a good basketball player. And I'm comparing Euton to Bird other than niether are the most athletic players. And Euton will do fine against taller and more athletic players, he proved that last year when he more than held his own against Darius Miller in the Rose Hill/Mason Co. scrimmage

I have seen both of them play this year and Wilson is the better player imo, but Carter is also a really talented athelete. Anyone know if Wilson is going to be able to play both sides of the ball this week? I know the docters told him not to at the beginning of the year because of his shoulder surgery. If he does play both ways that will definately help Boyd County's defense because he is a very good DB.

Is this game at Russell or is it in Grayson?

I have seen several area teams play this year and Zac Wilson is by far the best one in the area imo.

Pikeville had like 7 or 8 turnovers and Ashland took advantage. Dom DeMartino was impressive tonight he had 3 TDs, 2 fumble recoveries, and a couple of tackles for loss. Overall Ashland looked pretty solid but they need to keep improving.

Russell 42 Boyd 21. Russell was dominant in their first game and I look for that trend to continue this week.

Boyd's Wilson had about 120 yds. on 15 carries including 3 TDs. Turning point of the game was when EC fumbled on the three yard line and Boyd drove 97 yards to score to make it 14-0. EC was playing with a backup QB but he looked pretty impressive running the ball.
