Khsaa's website says the game is at 7:30, but I was told 1:00 yesterday, so I dont know and I would like some confirmation before I drive all the way to Morehead.

The runner didn't make a poor decision, the coach did. The coach sent him, he didn't just run. Ashland would have had its hottest hitter coming to the plate with the tying run in scoring position, but the poor decision really cost them.

I'm pretty sure I grasp the game. The officials did have an impact, but like I said if RH gets one stop when they are up 5 they win the ball game no matter how many more free throws Ashland shot. I guess we will have to disagree on this one.

I am one of the biggest RH fans you will ever meet and have blamed the officials for their loses before. And they did have an impact on the game tonight but there are other things that helped determine the outcome as well. And despite all the fouls that were being called RH had the lead in the fourth quater and couldn't get the defensive stop they needed. I think that had more of an impact that officials.

I think that the key was that RH was not able to get a stop when they pushed the lead to 5 on several occasions. Scott Gambill and Mike Terry played really well for RH. Terry is going to be an absolute monster in a year or two. Congrats to Asland and good luck in the finals. Delaney played a heck of the ball game for the Tomcats.

Heard Scott Gambill didn't play tonight because of sickness. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If Scott didn't play then this is a even bigger win for the Royals.

News stations usually don't stay for the whole game. Plus reports have to interview coachs and figure stats and that takes a lot more time than you think. Then writa a story, the average story is about 400-500 words which takes anyone a while to write, plus a box score.

The Independent only has two sports writers right now with a few people that help out on occasion, so it would be really hard for those guys to get their stories done and do weekly stats. Elliott County doesn't get front page stories becasue reports don't have time to get back to Ashland and write the story before the 11:30 deadline. They usually get in the 2 or 3 page because that is where the High School round-up is. The round-up goes through every game that the teams call in. You can't expect a reporter to write a story long enough for the front page from a 3 minute phone conversation.

I agree he played relly well. It seemed like he got a lot of loose balls for the Royals.
