A nice start to what should be a solid season for Boyd.

Boyd will have a tough one against Russell next week.

Boyd's Wilson had about 120 yds. on 15 carries including 3 TDs. Turning point of the game was when EC fumbled on the three yard line and Boyd drove 97 yards to score to make it 14-0. EC was playing with a backup QB but he looked pretty impressive running the ball.

This was a very close game. East fumbles inside the 5 with a chance to score and tie before half. Boyd takes advantage of deflated ECHS team and drives 97 yards to lead 14-0 at half. East had a long TD called back in the 2nd half. Boyd won because of their advantage in speed and conditioning/depth. East looks like they play about 14 kids.

Congrats to the Lions .... but then again you are playing a very depleted East team. We are extremely down this year and with a 3 week stretch of Raceland, Mason, and Russell coming up in 2 weeks ...... It don't look to pretty.

East Carter has a very, very shallow depth chart this year, look for it to be a long season for the Raiders, looking at their schedule I don't see them having much of a chance to win a game until the second half of the season considering their first half schedule is probably one of the toughest in the state in 3A football
