I was referring to the part about supporting whoever wins the region when they go to state. We should want the region to do well whether it is Russell, Raceland, RH, Boyd, Ashland, etc...

I am sorry that I didnt get the facts straight, I really am, you hear everything coming and going. And for the Fighting Irish, they should have recruited...he he he just joking, oh they did from Paul Blazer, didnt they? just a joke dont get worked up about it, you should be proud of what Holy Family done in the 60's-80's before and after that I just dont know much about their Ball Teams. Did you play for Holy Family?

I know this area is better getting behind Girls hoops, then most, I am not trying to offend anyone but I have been around basketball for nearly 40 years and the last 15 years the parity in the Boys in the 16th has went down hill and the girls has really accelerated upward...while girls have always played hard, Teams like Hop coached has really pushed Girls hoops to a new level of play, they are more fundamentally sound than most guy players in this region. What really irked me was RH playing a Nationally ranked team at 5pm. That is crazy...let the girls be the pre-act or opening act for the Boys who are playing Fleming County...come on give me a break. The RH boys are for real but only one team from RH has shot at going to state and that is the Girls...RH officials will one day realize just how good Queen and Terry are. Appparently there are many avid RH posters on this site, a rumor floating around outside of ..lets say the Ashland area ...is that the girls have had to share the gym with the boys this past week and has not really prepared for LC...no excuses should be made about no gym time available, your RH girls were state runners up last year, and are playing LC and no real practices this week...and you say Himmelfarb that there are those that support girls hoops, if so take a stand for what is right...no boys program, players, coaches, school what have you would go all week w/o real practice knowing your are about to play a Nationally ranked team...doesnt make much sense other than the fact that once again girls play second fiddle to the boys..and no I am not a female I just act like one every once in a while...I dont even have a dog in the fight anymore. Equality...if that rumor is true, do you think coach Fraley would go all week without preparation for a Nationally ranked team, of course not he prepares even for Holy Family, if they still had a team.

Himmelfarb, what do you think about the season that RH is having and what are your predictions for todays game? I personally still think that Girls Basketball is still not appreciated in this state.

Very true...It leaves me to wonder just who then it could be...lets do the elimination process....has to be some one under six foot...nevermind....the whole state knows. Seeing how you know these girls, you are probably right. All I am saying, is that losing and winning are both contagious, and with losing comes negative attitudes. For most people it is easier to give up and worry about getting my points instead of how are we going to get better as a team. This is no way a comment about Queen and Terry, just players in general. Those girls are warriors on the court but after finishing state runner up last season you would think that the team, the coaches and fans would be hungry to make another run at it. Actions speaks louder than words. Its like they dont even realize that they have a bulls eye on them, not just from the 16th regional teams but all teams. No one plays harder than Queen (possibly the best player to ever play in the region) and Terry is awesome but this isnt about them, this is a team sport. So like I said, you are probably right, those two want to win they just cant figure out yet how to do it

Rose Hill has two of the top players in the state returning in Queen and Terry. From what I have heard, read and watched, the Rose Hill Girls are very young and inexpereinced on the Varisty level of play. They have Kayla Faulkner's sister back playing PG but she is not a true PG, she is a good defensive player but Rose Hill has only one varisty PG and that is the Queen girl. Rose Hill is simply overmatched in this game. I wish them luck.

The Lady Royals would have given them a good game if Kayla Faulkner and Sarah Yates were still playing. I admire Coach Euton for scheduling them but sometimes games like these are not good for experience but for a team to be demoralized, then sets in discouragement and "I don't care Attitudes". It will interesting to see if the best talent in the region can come together as a team put all of their differences aside and make another run at it.

I could put together a pretty good group of hackers from Noon Ball from the Ashland YMCA. OJ wouldnt be able to walk after playing against Jerry Daily and Perry Dalton. Oh yeah and the Hornbuckle guy would light them up, OJ would probably get some attorneys from Dewey Cheetam and Howe and sue the Ashland Y.........

The youngest of the Gearheart girls from West Carter I think. Was it 2001 or 2002, maybe? Her sister Marla is a referee now and does a great job.
